We also have work experience classrooms that focus on a variety of skills (i.e., fine motor, social, sports team management).Community Based: (6-8 weeks)Community based training is a non-paid opportunity for students to practice employability skills in a real employment environment. We partner with many community businesses to offer a variety of experiences. Some examples include: Goodwill Industries, St. Vincent de Paul, Schlow Centre Region Library, PAWS and Discovery Space.Paid Employment:Paid employment is for students who demonstrate proficient employability skills. The IEP team determines the student’s participation and job coaching services.
