Competition Venue

The 2015 Tasmania Boccia State Titles will be held 14 - 15 November 2015 at the Moonah Sports Stadium Gormanston Rd Moonah Tasmania.

Accommodation

Tasmania is a beautiful place to visit and a great time of the year as the Summer weather draws near.

How to get there

A popular way to Tasmania is going on the Spirit of Tasmania, boarding with your car and a great

way to see the beauty and charm Tasmania has to offer.

With Hobart Airport less than 20 minute drive to the city centre as well as the playing venue,

all major domestic airlines fly regularly into Hobart. Some great links are .au or simply

directly onto Virgin, Qantas and Jetstar websites.

Eligibility

Please register with Boccia Australia as you are required to be a competitive member.

There is no fee to register as a coach, official, referee, sports assistant or volunteer but are required to become a Boccia Australia member.

Competition Structure

Individual divisions of play: BC1, BC2/BC4/BC5/EMU, BC3.

The finishing position in all pools for each classification will be determined as by BISFed rules.

Classification

The classification of athletes in this sport is performed by authorised classifiers according to the classification rules of the sport, which are determined by the International Federation BISFed.

The 2015 Tasmania Boccia State Titles will be given a “State” ranked status for this seasons

National Ranking System. It’s a great opportunity to get amongst the points to be the Boccia

Australia National champion in your classification.

Registration Deadline

The deadline for registration is Friday, 9th October, 2015. Registration fees are $60 per athlete.

*Be sure to register early. Places in each classification are limited due to the capacity to run this

as a one day event, so get in early and don’t miss out your spot, its sure to be a great event.

Classification: please circle or highlight

BC1 BC2 / BC4 / BC5 / EMU BC3 UNCLASSIFIED

Please note that all BC1 and BC3 athletes must arrange their own ramp and sports assistants.

Athletes who wish to compete in recognised boccia classes (BC1, BC2, BC3, BC4, BC5) should have at least a provisional level boccia classification prior to the state titles. Athletes will compete under their class allocated

as listed on the Australian Boccia Classification Masterlist.

The APC and BA will endeavour to support classification at state boccia titles, with a full classification panel

where possible.

• If a Classification panel is available at a Boccia event, athletes who have registered with a no previous classification, a provisional classification, or a national classification with a review status, including those with a review of 2015 or earlier, may be selected to attend classification.  A final classification schedule with times for classification will be provided 3 weeks prior to the event.

• If a Classification panel is not available at a Boccia event, it is recommended that new athletes (who are not on the Classification Masterlist and have not been classified previously) seek a provisional paperwork classification. Any new athletes should refer to the APC Boccia page and follow the steps to request a classification no later than 8 weeks prior to their state championships.  The provisional classification paperwork may be found on the APC Boccia Classification Resources page.

Deadline for registration is Friday, 9th October, 2015. An invoice will be provided on

receiving registration.

Registration fee will be $60.

The photographs/video may be used for the following:

• Boccia Presentations

• General Community Promotions

• For the education and training of athletes and coaches

• For external publications or promotional activities produced Boccia Australia and Cerebral Palsy Alliance, including print, broadcast, electronic (e.g. website) or other medium

I understand that I am free to withdraw permission prior to the material being published by contacting Boccia Australia. I also understand that I will receive no payment, for the use of the photograph/video footage.

Athlete Indemnity

I, the undersigned hereby agree Boccia Australia or anybody or association in any way with the conduct or participation in the above event (of which persons, bodies or associations are severally and jointly included

in the term ("identified”) shall not be deemed responsible or liable in any way for injury, to me sustained in,

arising from, or function of nature held during the period of competition, or prior to or subsequent thereto if

anyway connected with directly or indirectly with the said competition and hereby identify the indemnified

against any actions, suits, cause of actions, demands, and claims by me and hereby agree (so) that the indemnified may act as our agents in incurring such expenses as and/or doing whatsoever is reasonably necessary for the benefit of me in conjunction with or arising out of any such illness or mishap.
