The students have been working on the short story to be published by Studentreasures Publishing Co. Now, we can go back and focus on Old Yeller and finish the story. Since next week will be short for the holiday we will complete all assessments that week. Last week did not go as I expected because of unforeseen circumstances to be discussed privately. I am out on Wednesday and have planned a day of I-Ready challenges. Unfortunately, this did not happen due to sub leaving. Thursday is partner morning and I will be out after 10am. Students will work on 2-man projects for the rest of the day. Usually 5th grade keeps their homeroom on this day. Nothing, I left for the students was done.Projects-root word challenge, find as many words that can be created with suffixes and prefixes. Never happened *Week of 11-19 and 11-20 I will finish ALL materials not completed in the last week or to. I will discuss the plan for Thanksgiving break. Students will have the opportunity to ask questions about the homework. ................
