Walkable Seattle

Exceptional restaurants, drinks and shopping are within easy walking distance to the convention centers and hotels.

Starting at the world-famous Pike Place Market near the waterfront, Seattle's central retail, dining and cultural hub is focused around Pike and Pine Streets which continue through downtown, past the convention centers and up to the eclectic Melrose Market in Capitol Hill. With more than 1,000 bars, restaurants and a number of urban wineries, there are culinary experiences galore in the city.

The best part is that everything is within steps of the convention centers.

Pike Place MarketFront Expansion

The iconic Pike Place MarketFront expansion recently opened to much fanfare. Overlooking Puget Sound, the new space includes additional day stalls, an outdoor plaza, restaurants, a brewery and space for private events.

New Seattle Waterfront

Part of a long-term vision for Seattle, this project will transform the waterfront with expansive parks, overlooks, bike paths and promenades. It will create a seamless pedestrian experience from downtown and Pike Place Market for visitors to more easily enjoy all of the attractions there.

travel time between downtown Seattle and Seattle-Tacoma International Airport

Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (Sea-Tac) is the fastest-growing large airport in the U.S. (three years in a row), and serves more travelers than ever before. To keep up with demand, projects totaling $1.9B are already underway to expand terminals and arrivals facilities.

Access to Sea-Tac has never been easier, as Light Rail connects the airport to downtown in just 30 minutes. And, to plan for continued growth, $54B is committed to an expanded regional light rail and rapid bus system, spanning more than 60 miles north-south and 30 miles east-west.
