A minimum of three (3) assessments (formal and/or informal) will be taken per 6 weeks. Student work to be calculated in the student’s average for the course should be graded and recorded in the electronic gradebook (Skyward) within 72 hours of submission. All assignments not turned in on time will be scored as M (Missing) in the gradebook. A grade of M (Missing) is calculated as a grade of zero (0). All make-up tests, quizzes, common assessments, etc. will need to be made up before school or after school.RETESTING/RETEACHING:Opportunities to retest if a student scores below a grade of 70 will be allowed on tests/exams.Teachers are required to re-teach objectives and/or concepts when 25% or more of the class has failed to perform at 75% mastery on any assessment. MONITORING GRADES:Students will receive a progress report after the 3rd week of each grading period. Parents are encouraged to stay informed of grades by using the Skyward parent portal.
