(Za grupu koja vežbe ima sredom od 10:20): Kada pišete esej/sastav treba da izrazite vaše ideje na jasno organizovan i formalan način. Ova stranica je primer kako tipičan esej o prednostima i nedostacima (“pros and cons” essay) treba da izgleda i prikazuje upotrebu reči koje povezuju pasuse (linking words) i pravopisa.

Napišite vaš esej u pasusima. Svaki pasus treba da sadrži jednu glavnu ideju. Četiri pasusa u ovom eseju su:

1. introduction – uvod

2. pros., advantages – prednosti

3. cons., disadvantages – nedostaci

4. conclusion – zaključak

Nowadays, we live in the fast lane, so we use disposable products to make life easier. We use them for eating (plastic spoons, knives, plates, bowls, cupcake wrappers) and drinking (paper and plastic cups). In this paper, we are considering both advantages (pros) and disadvantages (cons) of using disposable products.

The main advantage of disposable products is that they are sanitary, convenient, safe, economical and save space. What is more, you can carry a lot of plastic plates, knives, spoons and plastic cups and celebrate birthdays, weddings and many other important events. Their design has imporoved so that we have plastic plates that look like china. In addition to this, there is no dishwashing after parties or celebrations. Also, medicine relies on disposables such as disposable gloves, gowns, scalpels which must be thrown away.

On the other hand, using disposable products can be harmful to the environment. Perhaps the major disadvantage of disposable products in general is the huge damage that they do to the one and only environment. Most disposable products are not recycable. Using disposable products can damage the environment by throwing away all the things they were made of (plastic waste).

To sum up, disposable products are an important and inevitable part of life. They make our life easier and more practical. However, in my opinion, one should choose disposable products that are recycable to make them less harmful to the environment.
