Secrets

A woman, so rare,

that everyone will stare.

Out there she’s just another,

but here, something other.

A woman’s manicured hand being raised,

Draws glancing boys into a daze.

And her light, answering voice sings sweet

Leaving her males peers in far-off dreams at their seat.

Is it the lips with cherry paint

Or a whiff of perfume so faint,

That makes the women stand apart

And be looked upon with yearning heart.

The brilliant male minds here can’t seem to find

What it is that makes a woman stay on his mind.

When during class a simple flip of the hair

Sends his mind wandering without a care.

Amid a city of testosterone and brick,

Maintaining femininity can be quite a trick.

However, even being well out numbered,

Our womanly secrets remain undiscovered.
