Famous Crimes & Criminals Teach-A-Topic Presentation Requirements
1. Presentations completed individually or with a (singular) partner. (Greater expectations for partnerships.)
2. Research your topic. Use online web sites, databases, and library resources. (2 days)
3. Prepare a presentation for the class, using Power Point.
* between 5-7 minutes (you must be clear and concise with your information!!!!!) (5 per day!!)
* be sure to cover the Who, What, When, Where, and Why of your topic
* 1 slide should cover the Impact your crime/criminal had on society
4. Your presentation needs to include a Power Point Slide Show containing 5-8 slides of pictures/visuals with a caption to go with each picture/visual AND some type of ORGANIZED NOTES!! Notes should be limited to two pages and cover the 5 W’s (who, what, when, where, and why). The notes will be where the information is while the power point should supplement what your notes say. I DO NOT WANT slides full of words and information. Each student will be responsible for taking a small collection of notes during the presentation.
5. Be CLEAR and CONCISE when presenting your information. Do not confuse us!!
6. You will be asked a question from MR. CRAFT at the start of the presentation. The question will pertain to your topic and will be a true indication of the amount of research you have completed. You will verbally answer the question prior to presenting your information.
7. Grading: Event Explained (5 W’s) = 20 pts. Impact on Society = 10 pts
Bibliography (2 sources) = 10 pts. Presentation = 10 pts.
TOTAL: 50 pts.
