It is perfectly acceptable to receive the Eucharist in only one kind (i.e. the Host), and then decline the chalice, crossing your arms.

The first Episcopal services in Fairbanks were in 1903. The next year, St. Matthew's Church was built. The original church building burned in 1947, and was replaced with the present St. Matthew's Church. First service in the church was Christmas Eve 1948

Under Article III, Section 1 of the By-Laws of St. Matthew’s Church, the Rector and Vestry formally announce the Annual Meeting will be held here Sunday, January 31st, at 9:15 AM. The Vestry has posted their proposed 2010 Operating Budget in the parish hall for your suggestions and discussion.

We are taking a “2nd Offering” today towards relief efforts in Haiti. Make checks payable to EPISCOPAL RELIEF & DEVELOPMENT.
