What is the Primary End-of-Year Reading Assessment?

"Primary EOY Reading Assessment"

Broward County's End-of-Year Reading test for first grade and second is designed to assess grade level Standards. - 1st grade (B.E.S.T. standards) - 2nd grade (L.A.F.S. standards)

Information from the assessment is used for promotion criteria and placement.

To drive student instruction from the beginning of every new school year.

How will the Primary EOY Reading test affect my 1st grader?

Primary EOY Reading test

All 1st grade students will take the Primary EOY Reading assessment on campus.

Students must receive a 55% average to meet district Promotion Criteria
