Summer school students who miss more than 3 days of a class risk receiving a failing grade for that class. Arriving at school on time is vital to learning. Three tardies will constitute one absence. Students whose attendance or punctuality do not meet the above requirements risk being withdrawn from the summer school program. This will be done after the school contacts parents or guardians by phone or mail, offers counseling and/or arranges a parent conference. Refunds will not be given in this situation. Refund PolicyRefunds will only be offered to students whose classes were canceled due to insufficient enrollment or who have a documented, extenuating circumstance (accident, illness, death of immediate family member) that led to the student’s inability to attend the program at all. There will be no refunds for students who have been withdrawn due to chronic absences, lateness, or offenses against the Code of Conduct. All refund requests must be made by August 9, 2019. Refund requests made after Aug. 9, 2019 will be denied.Students with Specific NeedsStudents with an active IEP or 504 Plan will be provided reasonable accommodations inclusive of the provision of an IEP required temporary adult aide and/or nurse.
