Summer Internship – Structural EngineerJob Summary: Leuterio Thomas is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented individual to join our Structural Design team for a summer internship. The ideal candidate displays a desire for learning and has at least one year of structural engineering courses. Our engineers work on a variety of projects around the Washington, DC area and globally, utilizing state-of-the-art design tools and collaborating in team environments. Our body of work includes the design and analysis of new buildings, renovations and repairs of existing structures, and forensic studies. Responsibilities:Analyze and prepare design calculations for both existing and new structuresLearn to use drafting and analysis software like Revit, ETABS and ADAPTDevelop structural plans, details, sections and elevations for construction drawingsPerform construction related services including shop drawing reviews, response to requests for information, and construction site observation reportsPerform assigned responsibilities with supervision by supervisor or managerEducation: Applicant must be in the process of receiving a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited engineering school, with courses in structural engineering for buildings.
