Dear Preschool Families,We have compiled resources for you to engage your child with during our time off. Worksheets are not required, but suggested to help continue your child in the learning process. Please do not return paperwork to school, keep it at home. Listed below our suggested activities to do with your child:READ with your child! Discuss various parts of a book: author, illustrator, front/back cover, reading left to right, characters, settings, sequence-beginning, middle, and end, main idea of the story, and fiction vs nonfiction.Identifying letters and sounds in common household items (cereal box, TV show, clothes, etc.).Drawing a pictures given a prompt (draw picture of yourself, draw picture of a character, etc.) and discuss (even write!) what the picture is about.Roll Play-doh into letters and numbers.Provide opportunities for students to use their imagination creating artwork or building.
