Oct. 10, 2019?To our public school employee friends with SEBB coverage effective January 1, 2020.Providence is proud to provider exceptional health services for residents throughout our region. This includes the dedicated teachers and classified staff who serve the children of our communities. As you may know, your benefits selection process is changing this year, moving to one statewide menu of choices, not individual school district plans as you’ve had in the past. One important difference is that coverage is changing to a calendar year schedule (your open enrollment occurs through November 15), with the new coverage taking effect on January 1, 2020. This is different from what you’re used to, with the benefits year traditionally starting on November 1. Additionally, as you make your benefits choices for the coming year, there are some key provisions of your health insurance options that we would like to make sure you fully understand. We’re pleased that Providence is in-network in plans offered by Kaiser Permanente and Regence Blue Shield UMP (Uniform Medical Plan). Both of these SEBB plans offer multiple plan options that you may evaluate and make the best choice for you and your family. Please note that Providence is out-of-network with the 2020 Premera SEBB plans. SEBB members who currently have the Premera plan and wish to continue their care with Providence at an in-network level should select a UMP or Kaiser plan listed in the in-network chart below. We want to make sure you have the latest and most accurate information as you make these important choices. We look forward to caring for you and your family. ................
