I am an evangelical Christian who takes the Bible very seriously, believing it means just what it says.?My goal in writing this series was to see what the Bible actually says about healing, as opposed to what people think it says, and to see if I could find any reasons for the disconnect between what it says our experience should be and what it actually is. My research identified several reasons, which I described in the previous three segments.?In this concluding segment, I want to explore what the Bible says about who we are in Christ, and by that I mean what is the extent of our authority in Him.?We all know our destiny is to be Kings and Priests in the Lord's Kingdom, but what are we between now and then? Let's find out.?Ambassadors Of Christ? The fact that we're destined to be Kings and Priests makes us a royal priesthood (1 Peter 2:9) and having been adopted as God's own children (Galatians 4:4-7) confirms that we're part of the ultimate royal family.?In royal families the princes often serve as ambassadors and that's exactly what Paul called us. Using a Greek word he only applied to us (2 Cor. 5:20) and himself (Ephes. 6:20), he called us ambassadors (representatives) of Christ sent with the ministry of reconciliation to reconcile men to God (2 Cor. 5:18-20). Through the cross, God has made peace with His creation (Colossians 1:19) and as His ambassadors we are called to explain the terms of His peace to all the nations, in other words to share the gospel with them.?When an ambassador is appointed to the country where he will serve, he presents his credentials to the host country. His credentials show he has the authority to act on behalf of his home country's leaders.?When Jesus sent His original 12 disciples out to minister to the people, He gave them credentials to show they had the authority to act on His behalf. He said, "Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons" (Matt. 10:8).?Later He sent out 72 others telling them to heal the sick in every town that welcomed them (Luke 10:9). And just before He left, after reminding them that all authority in heaven and on earth had been given to Him, He told His followers of that day and ours, "Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit" (Matt. 28:18-19).?To show that we have the authority to act as His ambassadors today, we have also been given the ability to do the things Jesus did. He said, "Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing" (John 14:12). Notice He didn't say, "whoever in this generation" or "whoever until the New Testament is complete" but "whoever believes in me." Prefacing His statement with the phrase "Very truly I tell you" indicates He was being as honest and direct as He could possibly be. That means whether you know it or not, you have the authority as the Lord's ambassador to do the things Jesus did.?We who believe in Jesus have been authorized to heal the sick, raise the dead, cast out demons, preach the gospel, and make disciples of all men, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. We don't need anyone's permission to do these things, they are part of our job, even part of our responsibility. They are what we've been sent to do, just as they are what Jesus was sent to do.?Jesus didn't pray to His Father, asking Him to heal someone if it be His will, He commanded the person to be healed. He commanded demons to depart. He commanded dead people to come to life. He did this because He had the authority to do so.?The disciples didn't pray to Jesus or the Father, asking for healing on behalf of someone. In Jesus' name they commanded the sick to be healed, the lame to walk, the demons to depart, the dead to rise. They also had the authority to do so.?What Can I Do For You, Lord??So many times I've received emails from people who say, "I've prayed for God to show me what He wants me to do with my life. I keep listening, but I never hear any thing back. What's missing?"?What's missing is that He's waiting for us to do what He's already commissioned us to do as one of His ambassadors.?"Heal the sick, raise the dead, cast out demons, preach the gospel, and make disciples of all men, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit."?Why do we expect Him to give us another job when we've yet to begin the one he's already given us??It doesn't matter how busy you are or how important your job is, you could find at least a little time to begin acting as an ambassador of the Lord by doing some of the things He has commissioned you to do. Even if you could only commit a few hours a week to this, you would be serving the One who gave His life to redeem yours.?Imagine, if you can, how different the world would be if each of us spent just a little time each week in our role as an ambassador of Christ. Instead of being known primarily for what we hate, wouldn't the Church be better known for Who we love? Isn't that what the Lord wants? (John 13:34-35).?One final word about ambassadors. They don't try to impose their country's culture or values on the country they've been sent to. And they certainly don't try to take it over. They know they are guests who serve a special purpose.?In the same way it's not the Church's job to take over the world or impose the Christian culture upon it. We are also guests who serve a special purpose. Jesus told the 72 that if they entered a town and were not made to feel welcome, they should leave, shaking the dust from their feet as they did (Luke 10:10-11). And Paul said it's not our responsibility to judge those outside the Church (1 Cor. 5:12). Our job is to show them something better by our actions.?Now before you say that to be an ambassador for Christ you would have to leave your home and become a missionary in a foreign land, consider this. Our citizenship is in heaven and we eagerly await a savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ (Phil. 3:20). No matter where you live on earth, you are only a visitor here, so you could start right where you are.?Our purpose is to introduce the very special benefits of our home country (heaven) to those who live on earth and influence them to change their citizenship. And how do we do that? The way Jesus told us to.?"Heal the sick, raise the dead, cast out demons, preach the gospel, and make disciples of all men, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit."?If you've never done anything like his before, you shouldn't expect to do all these things successfully right out of the box. For example, just as it takes faith to be healed, it takes faith to heal others. Most of us don't have that kind of faith because we've never developed it, and we've never developed it because it has never occurred to us that we could.?But there are thousands of ways to show the Gospel to people. All it takes to get started is to make a commitment to do something. And with prayer, study, and practice, we can all learn to do all these things because we have all been given the authority to do them. It's who we are in Christ. 09-12-15?P.S. Now that you've read the final segment of this series, I would highly recommend that you go back and read the entire series from start to finish in one sitting to get the complete perspective on what the Bible says about healing. Here's a link to the first part, What Does The Bible Say About Healing?"Iran says finds unexpectedly high uranium reserve" - Elizabeth Prata - (Reuters) - Iran has discovered an unexpectedly high reserve of uranium and will soon begin extracting the radioactive element at a new mine, the head of Iran's Atomic Energy Organization said on Saturday. ... After decades of efforts, Iran - which has consistently said its program is for peaceful purposes - has achieved a full nuclear fuel cycle, ranging from the extraction of uranium ore to enrichment and production of fuel rods for nuclear reactors.?Immediately prior to this news, just days before in fact, Joel C. Rosenberg had published a bulleted list/factsheet regarding the danger the Iranian Government poses to the world. He lists the Iranian statement of beliefs and intents, especially with regard to wiping out Israel the the US. He lists past and very current statements that Iran intends at all costs to go forward with their dastardly and evil plan to rule the world and wipe out Christians and Jews.?Fact Sheet: The Iranian Leadership's Apocalyptic Beliefs Joel C. Rosenberg Updated: September 4, 2015??What Iran's Leaders & Allies Say They Will Do: Annihilate America?* "The slogans of the Iranian nation on Al-Qods Day show what its position is. The slogans 'Death to Israel' and 'Death to America' have resounded throughout the country, and are not limited to Tehran and the other large cities. The entire country is under the umbrella of this great movement [of 'Death to Israel' and 'Death to America']."-Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, July 18, 2015.?And now we discover that they had access to uranium all along.?And now we discover Iran has achieved a full nuclear fuel cycle.??We know from prophecy that Iran plays an important role in God's plan of judgment. What does the bible say about Persia at the end of time??The word of the LORD came to me: 2"Son of man, set your face toward Gog, of the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him 3and say, Thus says the Lord GOD: Behold, I am against you, O Gog, chief prince of Meshech and Tubal. 4And I will turn you about and put hooks into your jaws, and I will bring you out, and all your army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed in full armor, a great host, all of them with buckler and shield, wielding swords. 5Persia, Cush, and Put are with them, all of them with shield and helmet; 6Gomer and all his hordes; Beth-togarmah from the uttermost parts of the north with all his hordes-many peoples are with you. (Ezekiel 37:1-6)??It is interpreted that of course Persia is Iran. That one is easy because Persia held the name until 1935 when the Shah asked foreign dignitaries to use the name Iran, the name the people themselves used.?The ancient name for the Persians, which was a name used until the early 1935 before it was changed to Iran, was Elam. People in the tribe of Elam were Elamites.??Elam is first mentioned in Genesis 10:22 as a son of Shem. Shem was Noah's son. Elam was a real person, Noah's grandson. You remember the early sons went out and founded tribes. This is recorded as a Table of Nations in Genesis 10. Answers In Genesis has an article with the table, which is like a genealogical family tree but of nations and not individuals. Click to enlarge. You will notice the same names on the Table as are recorded as the nations that fight at the time of the end. Togarmah, Gomer, Tubal...those guys all there at the beginning and their founded nations are there at the end. God is very precise.??The following points regarding Elam/Persia/Iran are from Bible History Online? The Persian Empire was founded by Cyrus in 536 BC., after they succeeded the Babylonian Empire. The first king of the Persian Empire was Cyrus, who issued the famous decree for the Jews to return to their homeland to rebuild their Temple. ?Under Cyrus the Great and Darius the Great, the Persian Empire eventually became the largest and most powerful empire in human history up until that point. The Persian Empire represented the world's first global superpower.?The capital of the Persian Empire was Shushan. The Empire lasted about 200 years, and came to an end in 330 BC.?From Negev, A. (1990). In The Archaeological encyclopedia of the Holy Land:??ELAM a) The biblical name of a hilly country, 'Elamtu' in Accadian, east of the River Tigris (Hiddekel) bordered by Assyria (Mesopotamia) and Madai on the north, the Persian Gulf on the south and Persia on the east and southeast. Its capital was Susa (Shushan). Most of our knowledge of it derives from Sumerian, Babylonian and Assyrian sources.??There was a constant state of war between Elam and the kingdoms of Lagash and Assyria. By the end of the 2nd millennium BC the Elamites had succeeded in deposing the Sumerian Dynasty of Ur. According to Genesis (14) Chedorlaomer, King of Elam, ruled over all the countries which were formerly under the yoke of Babylon, and the countries on the Jordan were his tributaries.?Abram Rescues Lot?14 In the days of Amraphel king of Shinar, Arioch king of Ellasar, Chedorlaomer king of Elam, and Tidal king of Goiim, hat they made war with Bera king of Sodom, and with Birsha king of Gomorrah, Shinab king of Admah, and Shemeber king of Zeboiim, and the king of Bela (that is, Zoar). (Genesis 14:1-2).??From DD Lowery in his book Elam,?The fall of Elam was foretold by Jeremiah (49:34-9) and by Ezekiel (32:24-5). During the period of the Persian Empire Elam was one of the satrapies, with Susa as its capital. Elamites who had been settled in Samaria impeded the Jews who returned from the Babylonia exile (Ezra 4:8-9).?ELAM (??????, eilam). An ancient Near Eastern kingdom located in Iran. A rival to the Mesopotamian kingdoms for over 2,000 years. The Elamite Empire influenced many great empires that shaped the biblical world. Over its long history, Elam interacted with the Sumerians, Akkadians, Babylonians, and the Assyrians. Under the Persians, Susa-one of Elam's great cities-makes several biblical appearances.?Biblical Mentions ?Kedorlaomer, king of Elam, appears in Gen 14 as the king whom Abram defeats to bring Lot and his family back home. The next occurrences in the Bible are not until the prophets and the exile. In the biblical text, Elam appears as a prophetic instrument of judgment (Isa 21:2; 22:6), as the object of judgment (Jer 49:34-38), and also as an object lesson for those yet to be judged (Ezek 32:24-25). Assyria deported many Israelites to Elam upon conquering it, which sets the stage for Ezra, Nehemiah, and Esther. According to Acts 2:9, a Jewish population still remained in Elam into the New Testament period. ?Determining how close the connection was between these earlier peoples and later Elamites remains difficult. Archaeology has shed light on many originally distinct groups during this period, most notably from Elam (Fars) and Susa, which come to be associated together later in history. ?End of Elam (Achaemenid Period, 539-331 BC): Elam Absorbed by Persia. Elam was geographically reduced to Susiana by the Assyrians, and the Medes and the Persians were firmly rooted in the Plateau. When Cyrus II (Cyrus the Great) conquered Babylonia (539) and established the great Persian Empire, Elam (Susiana) fell into Persian hands, becoming a valuable Persian province. The Persians inherited many characteristic traits from the Elamites, who continued to serve in various administrative roles under them. In fact, archives of Elamite clay tablets have been found in Persepolis-an important Persian center-from late in the reign of Darius to that of Artaxerxes (late fifth century). These shed considerable light on the political and cultural atmosphere of the time.?Under Darius, Susa became a prominent city in the empire. Here, set up as the winter citadel for the Persian Empire, that the biblical book of Nehemiah begins, and where Esther is also set. Recent archaeological discoveries in Susa have given clarification to the book of Esther. However, by this time, "Susa, in the province of Elam" (Dan 8:2) had ceased to be anything but the shell of Elam that it once was.?Lowery, D. D. (2012, 2013, 2014, 2015). Elam. In J. D. Barry, D. Bomar, D. R. Brown, R. Klippenstein, D. Mangum, C. Sinclair Wolcott, ... W. Widder (Eds.), The Lexham Bible Dictionary. Bellingham, WA: Lexham Press.??When we read of the Elamites being comprised of many different Mesopotamian peoples, it is so. At Pentecost, we're told that "staying in Jerusalem God-fearing Jews from every nation under heaven." (Acts 2:5).??Including:?Parthians and Medes and Elamites and residents of Mesopotamia, Judea and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia, (Acts 2:9).??Now in the latter days, a glorious thing will happen.?In that day the Lord will extend his hand yet a second time to recover the remnant that remains of his people, from Assyria, from Egypt, from Pathros, from Cush, from Elam, from Shinar, from Hamath, and from the coastlands of the sea.??The LORD has a remnant of His people inside the lands that we read about in the news today. How glorious it will be when He restores them! Daniel had a vision of the end time/last days of the very last days, in which he saw the Elamites-?And I saw in the vision; and when I saw, I was in Susa the citadel, which is in the province of Elam. And I saw in the vision, and I was at the Ulai canal. (Daniel 8:2).??On September 7 I posted a prescient quote from 1967 by S. Lewis Johnson regarding his long-ago perspective of seeing the ascendancy of Biblical nations. The Iranian rise is nothing to be surprised at nor worried about in this day and age. God is incredible and His hand works all that He wills. The things which were prophesied for thousands of years are coming to pass, and will come to pass, because God decreed it.??More to the individual point, when we read of rabid hatred contained in speeches by Iranians declaring death to America and death to Israel, let us not hate them back. In those nations, though there are many Muslims and many false Christians such as Orthodox, a few remnant Christ people dwell. They are being prepared to receive the calling when He deems it the right moment. Some already have been called, and others will become ... our brethren.?God deals in remnants. That is His way. And God does mighty things through remnants. 300 against Midian. Two against the Philistine army. 7,000 among the millions in Israel. 120 on Pentecost. A handful of Puritans coming to the shores of North America 400 years ago.??And in our time, faithful men and women in many parts of the world who have left apostate churches meet in tents, homes, schools, libraries, firehouses, storefronts, the buildings of liberal churches, and even less likely places. In countries like Zimbabwe in Africa, men and women who have left the bondage of false religions often meet under the shade of a tree in an otherwise forbidding landscape to worship the one true and living God and hear His Word preached.??Men and women around the world meet in unlikely places, sometimes coming incredible distances on foot just to be together. God's remnant is truly an unlikely assembly. But His people come together because they understand that it is not numbers, or a building, or other trappings that are of true importance - but the truth as it is found only in Christ and His Word. They understand that it is "not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit, saith the Lord of hosts" (Zechariah 4:6). ?God is mighty and wonderful. Praise His name!Putin's offer to shield & develop Israel's gas fields predated Russia's military buildup in Syria - 's-offer-to-shield-develop-Israel's-gas-fields-predated-Russia's-military-buildup-in-Syria?More than a fortnight ago, Russian President Vladimir put a proposition to Israel for Moscow to undertake responsibility for guarding Israel's Mediterranean gas fields, along with the offer of a Russian investment of $7-10 billion for developing Leviathan, the largest well, and building a pipeline to Turkey for exporting the gas to Europe, debkafile reports. The offer was made to Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu in confidential phone conversations and through quiet envoys.??At the time, Putin did not share with Netanyahu his plans for an imminent buildup of marines, air force units, warships and missiles in Syria, although the plan had been worked out in detail with Tehran in late July. The Russian ruler put it this way: Leviathan abuts on the fringes of Lebanon's economic water zone and is therefore vulnerable to potential sabotage by Iran, Syria or Hezbollah, whether by commando or rocket attack.?A multibillion Russian investment in the field would make it a Russian project which neither Syria nor Hezbollah would dare attack, even though it belongs to Israel.?But now the situation has assumed a different face. Russian forces are streaming to Latakia, and Moscow has declared the area from Tartous, Syria up to Cyprus closed to shipping and air traffic from Sept. 15 to Oct. 7 in view of a "military exercise including test firings of guided missiles" from Russian warships.?When he offered a shield for Israeli gas fields in late August, The Russian ruler knew that implementation would rest with Russian military forces on the spot, rather than Iranian and Syrian reluctance to harm Russian interests.??Then, on Aug. 30, Netanyahu discussed the new Russian proposition with Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi when they met in Florence, in the context of the former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi's involvement in Middle Eastern and European energy business and his close ties with Putin.??Berlusconi and Netanyahu are also good friends.?The Israeli prime minister never explicitly confirmed to Putin that he would consider the Russian transaction.?He hesitated because he sensed that a deal with Moscow for gas projects would be unacceptable to Washington and Noble Energy of Texas, which holds a 39.66 percent share in the consortium controlling Leviathan, as well as stakes in the smaller Tanin and Tamar gas wells.??Meanwhile, two Israeli ministers, Moshe Kahlon, finance, and Arye Deri, economy, consistently obstructed the final government go-ahead for gas production, tactics which also held Netanyahu back from his reply to Putin.?But when the fresh influx of Russian troops and hardware to Syria became known (first revealed by debkafile on Sept.1), Netanyahu began to appreciate that, not only had Israel's military and strategic situation with regard to Syria and the eastern Mediterranean been stood on its head, so too had foreign investment prospects for development projects in Israeli gas.??Israel's strategic landscape had in fact changed radically in four respects:?1.? Its government can no longer accept as a working hypothesis (which never, incidentally, held up) the short term expectancy of the Assad regime. The injection of Russian military might, combined with the Iranian Revolutionary Guards forces, have given Assad a substantial lease of life.?The Israel Defense Forces must therefore revamp its posture on the Syrian front, and reassess its sponsorship of the select rebel groups which are holding the line in southern Syria against hostile Iranian or Hezbollah cross-border attacks on northern Israel.??The changing attitude was suggested in views heard in the last couple of days from top Israeli security officials, who now say that leaving Assad in office might be the better option, after all.?2.? The new Russian ground, air and sea buildup taking shape in Syria provides a shield not just for the Assad regime but also Hezbollah. This too calls for changes in Israel's military posture.?3.? The Russian military presence in Syria seriously inhibits Israel's flexibility for launching military action against Iranian or Hezbollah targets when needed.??4. Three aspects of the new situation stand out prominently:?a)? The Russian air force and navy are the strongest foreign military force in the eastern Mediterranean. The US deploys nothing comparable.?b)? Israel's military strength is substantial but no one is looking for a military clash with the Russians, although this did occur four decades ago, when Israel was fighting for its life against Russian-backed Arab invasions.?c)? In view of the prevalence of the Russian military presence in the eastern Mediterranean, it is hard to see any foreign investor coming forward to sink billions of dollars in Israeli gas.?d)? Although Russia called Saturday, Sept. 12, for "military-to-military cooperation with the United States" to avert "unintended incidents" amid its naval "exercises" off the coast of Syria, the tone of the call was cynical. It is more than likely that Moscow may revert to the original Putin offer of a Russian defense shield for Israeli gas fields. But with such strong Russian cards in place in Syria, he may well stiffen his terms for this deal. What's the difference between Apocalyptic Islam & the "last days" according to Bible prophecy? - Joel C. Rosenberg - Tova! Sunday evening at sundown in Israel begins a new Jewish year. And as we begin, the region is full of anxiety over what the future holds.?The good news is that the God of the Bible is the God who knows the future, is all sovereign over the past, present and future, and even gives us a glimpse into the future through prophecy. This year, more than ever, I encourage you to read through - and study careful - the entire Bible, both Old and New Testaments, and especially the prophecies that tell us what the future holds.?Since publishing an article and two fact sheets (here and here) about the nature and threat of "Apocalyptic Islam," people have been asking me numerous questions.?Among them:?1. Don't Christians and Jews also believe in the End of Days?2. Are you criticizing all people who study, believe in, teach, or live according to eschatology (the study of things pertaining to the End of Days)?3. Is the study of eschatology inherently dangerous?4. What are some of the similarities between Shia and Sunni eschatology and Biblical eschatology?5. What are some of the main differences between Shia and Sunni eschatology and Biblical eschatology??These are good and important questions. I'm glad people are asking, especially as we begin a new year. So let me provide some concise answers. I also provide links to more resources below that I think you'll find helpful.?1. Yes, many devout Christians and Jews also believe in various prophecies about the End of Days. 1.JEWISH ESCHATOLOGY: Religious Jews believe the Messiah will come in the End of Days, will establish His global Kingdom upon the Earth (based in Jerusalem), and will rule the entire world with justice and righteousness. Such prophecies are described in the Hebrew Bible books of Daniel (7:9-14, for example), Isaiah, Jeremiah, as well as in the writings of other Hebrew prophets in the Bible.?2. CHRISTIAN ESCHATOLOGY: Those who believe that Jesus is the Messiah (born again Christians, as well as Messianic Jews) believe we are currently living in the End of Days, that the Lord Jesus will come back to Earth very soon, He will establish His global Kingdom upon the Earth (based in Jerusalem), and He will rule the entire world with justice and righteousness. We also base our beliefs on the Old Testament prophecies, as well as the Gospels, the New Testament epistles, and the Book of Revelation. Many followers of Jesus also believe that prior to the "Second Coming" when He establishes His official Kingdom on Earth, the Messiah will come in the air and "snatch away" or "Rapture" His true followers in "the twinkling of an eye" to be with Him in heaven while He pours out judgment on the nations. We base these beliefs on passages such as I Thessalonians 4:13-5:28, I Corinthians 15:50-58, and John 14:1-6. [NOTE: I Thessalonians chapter 5 explains that the Rapture will take place at a time when most people don't expect it to happen and they will be caught unawares. "For you yourselves know full well that the day of the Lord will come just like a thief in the night. While they are saying, 'Peace and safety!' then destruction will come upon them suddenly." This is a curious passage in light of how many world leaders are currently describing the Iran nuclear deal as putting the world on the path to "peace and safety."]?2. No, I am not criticizing everyone who studies, believes in, teaches or lives according to prophecy and eschatology. As a follower of the Lord Jesus Christ - as an Evangelical who studies and believes and tries to obey the Bible - I believe very deeply in what the Bible teaches about the End Times and how we are to live as we await the Rapture, the Tribulation and the Second Coming. Indeed, I have written and taught extensively on the importance of rediscovering the purpose and power of Bible prophecy. (see various resources below)?3. Not all versions of eschatology are dangerous - but some are. The versions of eschatology believed, taught and practiced by the leaders of Iran and the Islamic State are very dangerous, as I have sought to explain. ?4. Some of the core similarities between Biblical eschatology and Sunni & Shia eschatology are these: 1.Devout Christians and Muslims believe that there will be a period known as the "End Times" or "End of Days" or "Last Days" where God will consummate history as we have known it thus far, and then God will begin a new period of history.?2. Devout Christians and Muslims that the Messiah is coming in the End Times to establish his kingdom over the entire world.3. Devout Christians and Muslims believe that Jesus is coming.4. Devout Christians and Muslims believe that time is short and that we need to living differently in light of the coming of the messiah and his kingdom.?5. Some of the core differences between Biblical and Islamic eschatology are: 1.While devout Christians believe that Jesus Christ is the crucified and resurrected Son of God, and thus the Messiah, the Savior, and the King who will reign over the world, devout Muslims believe Jesus was merely a prophet, that he did not die on the cross and was not raised from the dead, and that he is coming not to be the King but rather as the deputy to their messiah, known as the Mahdi.?2. Biblical eschatology teaches devout Christians to love their enemy and seek to persuade unbelievers to repent of their sins and receive Jesus as the Messiah or Christ by faith for the forgiveness of their sins and to be adopted into God's family and granted eternal life with God. If unbelievers refuse to receive Christ, Christians are still to love them, but they will be judged by God when they die and go to Hell forever. Islamic eschatology teaches Apocalyptic Muslims to give unbelievers an opportunity to repent. But if they don't repent, Muslims are instructed to execute such "infidels."?3. Biblical eschatology teaches that in the last days - particularly during a period of time known as the "Tribulation" - God will pour out His judgment on all the nations of the Earth. During this period, individuals can repent and receive Christ as Savior by faith. However, the Bible teaches that they will go through the worst period of war, famine, natural disasters and many other traumas in all of human history. Followers of Christ are not to cause or lead such wars and traumas. Rather they are to love their neighbors and enemies and preach the Gospel to everyone. But the Bible explains that such wars are coming as a result of leaders and forces obedient to Satan and that many Christians will be martyred during this period. Apocalyptic Muslims, on the other hand, believe that in the last days it is their God-given duty to foment and lead genocidal wars against all unbelieving nations, and to violently establish their kingdom or caliphate on earth. They are specifically instructed to slaughter Jews and Christians in the last days.?4. A careful study of Biblical eschatology reveals that it does not create a dangerous movement, but rather one motivated by love, mercy, forgiveness, compassion and a desire to create peace. It is given to us to motivate us to live more holy lives and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with people in all nations, and care for the poor and needy, and follow more faithfully the teachings and example of Jesus as His return for us draws near. A careful study of Islamic eschatology practiced by Iranian and ISIS leaders, on the other hand, reveals that it creates a dangerous, violent, genocidal movement.?I hope you find this helpful in understanding and explaining important distinctions between Biblical eschatology and that of Apocalyptic Muslims. (Ecclesiastes 3:1)?The Hebrew year of 5775 (2014-2015) ends on the evening of September 13, when Rosh Hashana, the Jewish New Year, begins. 5775 was a year of great turmoil and change in the Middle East and the entire world, including the rise of ISIS, the Iran nuclear deal and countless Biblical events which point to a time of even more upheaval in the near future. Let's take a look back at the biggest Breaking Israel News stories of 5775.?10. Altar of Jewish Holy Temple Rebuilt? In March, the Temple Institute in Jerusalem announced that it had finished constructing an altar for the not-yet-built Third Temple, made to exact Biblical specifications and requirements. The altar, a central component for Biblical sacrifice, can be made operational in a moment's notice as Jerusalem anticipates the building of the Third Temple.?9. History of Unmistakable Divine Wrath Serves as Warning for Nuclear Deal?Breaking Israel News took a look at the history of the Israeli-Palestinian peace process and noticed an unmistakable trend: each attempt at working towards a peace deal was immediately followed by a natural disaster, political scandal, or stock market drop.?8. Presbyterian Church USA Voted on Erasing "Israel" from Prayers?Last December, the Presbyterian Church USA (PCUSA) debated over removing all references to "Israel" from its prayers, arguing that the Biblical and liturgical "land of Israel" was not the same as the modern Israeli state and that the existing language was "inflammatory" and "hurtful" to some members of the church. Investigations revealed that PCUSA, which last year withdrew all investments from American companies doing business with Israel, had also held meetings with known Hezbollah terrorists.?7. Shocking Passover Blood Moon Predictions by Israeli Rabbi? As the holiday of Passover approached in April, mystical Israeli rabbi Amram Vaknin, known for his accurate prophecies of war in Israel, predicted that the third blood moon (full eclipse) in the current tetrad coinciding with the Passover holiday indicated that Israel was in great danger. He called on the Jewish people to repent and pray for the coming of the Messiah. On the same day the article was published, the P5+1 powers concluded negotiating the framework of the Iran nuclear deal.?6. IDF Waiting and Ready to Strike Iran, Security Official Reveals? As the passing of the Iran nuclear deal began to seem more and more likely, a high-ranking senior IDF officer revealed that the IDF had the full capacity to attack Iran's nuclear facilities if necessary. Leaked intelligence confirmed that an Israeli strike on Iran had been planned in 2012 but aborted last-minute.?5. Pope Francis to be Tried by Sanhedrin?A self-declared Sanhedrin, a council made up of 71 Jewish sages which was active in Biblical times but never re-established until today, sent a summons to Pope Francis demanding that he rescind his official recognition of the Palestinian state and apologize or risk trial. The Sanhedrin accused the Pope of persecution and anti-Semitism, and tried him in absentia on Mt. Zion in Jerusalem.?4. Fate of Iran Deal to be Decided on Jewish Days of Judgement?Jewish rabbis and scholars pointed out that the dates associated with the Iran nuclear deal lined up exactly with two significant time periods in the Jewish calendar, leading to the realization that it was not merely an event of global significance, but of Biblical proportions. The deal was first signed on July 14 during the Three Weeks of mourning, when Jews grieve for the destruction of Temple. Congress's vote on whether or not to pass the deal will fall during the Ten Days of Repentance between Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur, when all of creation is judged by God on the deeds of the past year.?3. US Supreme Court Sides with Obama in Denying Jerusalem as Israel's Capital??Israel was shocked and dismayed when the US Supreme Court sided with US President Barack Obama in refusing to acknowledge Jerusalem as Israel's capital, ending a 10-year court case over a passport which had gained international attention. The government's claim that recognizing Jerusalem as part of Israel "would critically compromise the ability of the United States to work with Israelis, Palestinians and others in the region to further the peace process" raised alarms that the administration intended to negotiate for a Palestinian capital in Jerusalem.?2. Newly Discovered ISIS Document Reveals Frightening Apocalyptic Vision? In August, a horrifying document published by the terrorist group Islamic State (ISIS) revealed the group's apocalyptic vision: a six-phase plan beginning with its conquests in Syria and Iran and ending in "open, worldwide warfare" against all non-Muslims.?1. Leading Israeli Rabbi Says the Arrival of the Messiah is Imminent?A leading Orthodox rabbi has begun urging Jews all over the world to return to Israel in anticipation of the Messiah, whom he believes will come at the "end of the shmittah (sabbatical) year". The current sabbatical year ends on Sunday evening. Rabbi Kanievsky's message caught fire, spreading far and wide throughout communities around the world. ?Watchman Warning: The Refugee Contagion - By Hal Lindsey - ? Last week, the picture of 3-year-old Aylan Kurdi shocked the world. His lifeless body reminded us of precious little ones we have all known and loved. We recoiled to think of the horror he felt as he fought his losing battle against drowning. We wept for his anguished family.? 12 million people have been displaced by the Syrian civil war. Of those, at least 4 million have crossed the border for refuge outside the country. 1.2 million have gone into Lebanon alone. That means one in five people currently residing in Lebanon is a Syrian refugee.? But Syria isn't the only area from which people are fleeing. Refugees are also coming from Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Somalia, Nigeria, and more. Wherever radical Islam has taken hold, people are running away.? Throughout history, mass migrations have changed the face and character of nations and peoples. A profound change has been taking place in Europe over the last couple of decades. Recently on "The O'Reilly Factor," Donald Trump, who owns hotels in Europe, lamented what he's seen. "Bill, I was in Paris recently, and Paris doesn't look like Paris anymore."? With native populations dwindling, Europe long ago decided it needed a new source of labor in order to maintain its economic power and the standard of living European elites have long enjoyed. So they put out the welcome mat - especially to poor Muslims from the Middle East. They came in vast numbers. With them, they brought Sharia law, honor killings, and crime. In France, an estimated 70% of prison inmates are Muslim.? But this summer's massive new wave of refugees dwarfs what's gone before. This time, the immigrants mostly consist of true refugees desperate to get away from the horrible effects of Islamic extremism. The question is, are they carriers of the disease from which they flee.? In recent years, we have seen repeatedly that Muslims from that part of the world do not assimilate well into Western culture. Islamic nations in the Middle East fail at democracy time and again. Turkey once seemed to be the exception, but not any more. Led by President Erdo?an, Turkey is fast deteriorating into a Muslim theocracy, with all the horror that entails.? The pundits tell us that Europe today faces the biggest refugee crisis since World War II. But the problem runs far deeper than that. A refugee crisis is characterized by the urgent needs of the refugees - things like food, water, shelter, and sanitation. But that represents only phase one of this crisis. The real dilemma will come as these nations try to assimilate people into a culture they have been taught to hate.? In Macedonia, many of the Muslim refugees refused care packages from the Red Cross. They said they couldn't accept them because the boxes carried the traditional Red Cross logo. To them, a cross is a cross, and they want nothing to do with it... even if it contains essential food and water for their children.? Despite such extreme prejudice, Christians are finding an amazing opportunity to reach Muslims with the Gospel. On the Greek island of Lesbo, an Associated Press writer said, "Two elderly men walked among the overwhelmingly Muslim migrants handing out copies of the Bible in Arabic."? Berlin churches report large numbers of Muslims accepting Christ. Critics say these people are simply trying to increase their chances of receiving asylum from the German government. But Angela Merkel says being a Christian won't help. She says, "Islam belongs in Germany and will remain so."? Germany and a few other European states (though not all) have welcomed the refugees. But rich Arab Gulf nations have not. Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates all refuse to allow Syrian refugees a place in their countries. Even while urging Europe and the United States to accept more and more immigrants, these countries have kept their own gates chained, locked, and bolted shut.? In public, they give a variety of reasons, usually criticizing the United States and Europe for focusing on the refugees while ignoring the cause of the crisis. While that's a valid point, it ignores the desperate need these people face right now.? The real reason Gulf States refuse to take in refugees is that they are afraid of the refugees. They believe ISIS and other terror groups are using these displaced people as a great Trojan horse. They believe terrorists have infiltrated the mass migration.? We have evidence that they're right, but that's only part of the problem.? Think of Islamic extremism as a disease. Who are the carriers of that illness? Muslims. People who hold the Koran dear carry Islam's chief radicalizing agent with them wherever they go. They are carriers of the very disease whose deadly symptoms they now flee. That means that where they go, the contagion will follow.? Even those Muslims, who reject radical Islam, carry the infection. And that's a problem secular Europe is incapable of addressing.?Is It Just A Coincidence That Two Amazing Signs Just Appeared On The 14th Anniversary Of 9/11? - By Michael Snyder - it just me, or does our world seem to be getting stranger with each passing day?? As an attorney, I was trained to be level-headed and skeptical, and in my writing I typically stick to facts that I can prove.? But lately, a whole lot of things have been happening that I don't have any rational explanation for.? Just look at what happened on Thursday.? On the eve of the 14th anniversary of 9/11, a double rainbow appeared over the site where the World Trade Center towers once stood.? We'll discuss possible meanings of that sign in a moment.? On Friday, a massive bolt of lightning caused a crane to collapse at the Grand Mosque in Mecca in Saudi Arabia.? At least 107 people were killed and at least 238 others were injured.? It turns out that this crane was owned by "the Saudi Binladin Group".? If that is a coincidence, it is an awfully bizarre one.?The Grand Mosque surrounds the holiest site in all of Islam.? So the fact that photos are circulating all over social media that show "the polished tiled floor of the mosque covered in rubble, bodies and pools of blood, and people fleeing the area bleeding and covered in soot" is a very, very big deal.?Not only did this happen on the anniversary of 9/11, it also took place just before the Hajj is to begin...?The Grand Mosque, or Sacred Mosque, surrounds the Kaaba - the most sacred site in Islam. The cuboid structure made of granite located in the mosque's center is often called the House of Allah.?The Kaaba is the place of the Hajj - the Islamic pilgrimage to Mecca, which is one of the five Pillars of Islam. It is mandatory of all Muslims physically and financially capable to carry out the journey at least once in a lifetime. The period of Hajj in Mecca is considered to be one of the largest gatherings of people in the world.?And as I mentioned above, the crane that collapsed just happened to belong to "the Saudi Binladin Group"...?The project to expand the mosque was launched in 2011 by late King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz. Earlier in 2015, King Salman bin Abdulaziz added five construction projects as part of the mosque's expansion aiming to accommodate more than 1.6 million worshippers.?The projects cover 1.47 million square meters and include the construction of 78 new gates at ground level, according to the official Saudi Press Agency. The project and is being carried out by the Saudi Binladin Group at an estimated cost of US$26.6 billion, according to local press.?I don't know what all of this means.?I am just throwing it out there.?Another very unusual sign was the very rare double rainbow that suddenly appeared in New York City on the eve of the anniversary of 9/11...?I don't know what this sign means either.?There are some that have suggested that it was God's way of remembering the victims of 9/11 and their families.?Others have suggested that it is a sign of impending judgment.? In the Bible, the rainbow was a sign that God used for his covenant with Noah, and in the book of Revelation we see a rainbow around the throne of God.?Today, we have taken this symbol which belongs to God and we have desecrated it...?So what message is this double rainbow in New York City sending to us??I'll let people debate that in the comments section following this article.?Before I bring this piece to an end, I also want to remind everyone that there are tremendous unanswered questions about what actually happened on September 11th, 2001.? As an attorney, I was trained to follow the evidence, and in this case the evidence points to some extremely disturbing conclusions.? The following is an extended excerpt from a previous article that I published...?Even though Americans have been hearing about 9/11 endlessly for the past 12 years, nearly half of them still don't know that a third building fell on that day.? A 47-story building named "Building 7" collapsed perfectly into its own footprint at freefall speed, but no plane ever hit it.?So why did it fall??The following is the official ReThink911 video about Building 7...?Watch: ?And of course the collapse of the other two World Trade Center towers would have been impossible as well without the help of controlled demolition.?But for many Americans, the implications of accepting that reality would just be too painful to accept.? It would mean that someone wired those buildings for controlled demolition ahead of time, and for many very patriotic Americans such a notion is absolutely unthinkable.?However, we owe it to future generations of Americans to put our emotions aside and to search out the truth.? Whoever was responsible for the events of 9/11 needs to be brought to justice, no matter who they might be.?And the families of those that were killed on that day deserve to know exactly what happened and why it happened.? The following is an excerpt from a great editorial by Dennis Maley in the Bradenton Times...?For too long, government officials have been able to successfully leverage the emotional components of the tragedy to deflect questions they painted as either disrespectful to the victims and their families or crackpot conspiracies. But with over 2,000 architects and engineers having signed the 9/11 truth petition, most of whom have offered credible and detailed reasons why their expertise has left them at odds with root elements of the official version of events, there remain too many unanswered questions for us to continue to ignore those raising them.?Perhaps the most noted event of that day, in terms of skepticism, is the implausible "collapse" of building seven, the third tower to fall, which reached free-fall speeds and fell in its own footprint in the way that a controlled demolition does - despite the fact that it was not hit by a plane. Building seven's improbable collapse was not explained by the 9/11 Commission and has been routinely described by demolition experts as something which could have only occurred through a well-planned, coordinated demolition, aided by pre-placed explosives.?The two main towers also fell at near free-fall speeds, with concrete floors being pulverized to dust almost immediately (before the required force would be present) while the necessary deceleration that would be needed to generate the force to continuously penetrate each floor below was obviously absent. Quite simply, a building of that size and structural integrity would not seem capable of falling at such speed, while simultaneously expelling such tremendous energy in obliterating each floor - which was nearly 4-ft. thick and topped with 4 inches of poured concrete above and lined with interlocking steel trusses beneath.?The documented phenomenon of extreme-high temperatures at the twin tower sites, which inexplicably reached levels capable of melting iron and structural steel when a normal open air fire is not capable of reaching such ranges, also warrants a closer look, as does eyewitness accounts of "molten metal." Iron-laden spheres in residual dust at the site that suggest temperatures had to reach more than 2,700 degrees Fahrenheit (the melting point of iron and structural steel) is also suspect. The use of thermite would be one possible explanation, though the pyrotechnic compound was not tested for at the site, a standard protocol when investigating such an explosion.?Why are so many Americans still so resistant to asking such hard questions??Shouldn't we allow the evidence to lead us to the truth instead of allowing the government to define what the truth is for us??Posted below is video from investigative reporter Ben Swann asking some more questions about the collapse of Building 7...?Watch: ?A lot of you out there think that you know exactly what happened on that day and you bought the mainstream media's "official story" hook, line and sinker.?Well, today I think that it is a great time to stop and examine the evidence.? There is an organization of more than 2,000 architects and engineers that claim that the government's version of what happened on 9/11/2001 is absolutely impossible.? You can learn more about what they have collectively discovered right here.?Some people try to tell us that questioning the official version of events on 9/11 makes us "conspiracy theorists", but the truth is that the real "conspiracy theory" is the nonsense that our government has been trying to sell us all this time.?Much of what the government says about that day is scientifically impossible.?Someday I hope the truth about what actually happened comes out and is exposed for all to see.?And once the American people discover how badly they have been duped, there is going to be hell to pay.?An appeal to heaven - Greg Laurie - Greg Laurie reveals where America's 'spiritual awakening' must begin? What gets you irritated or angry? For me, it is pretty predictable. My wife has told me, "I'll notice you're getting irritable, and I'll realize it's a simple thing: It's lunch time, and you're hungry."?There are other things that irritate me, and they usually have to do with general rudeness. Often it has to do with cell phones. I was so excited when cell phones first came on the market, but now I almost hate them (even though I'm dependent on them like so many other people).?I've noticed people out for a walk who don't even look up from their phones. Then there are the people who are texting while someone else is talking. When they sit down for a meal, they're texting under the table, as though no one else notices. (We notice.)?We all have certain things that get to us - our boiling point, if you will. In 2006, Harvard did a study on this and determined there are 10 million adult men in the United States who get so angry, they are sick. They call it Intermittent Explosive Disorder, or IED. Another study concluded that bad-tempered people are three times more likely to have heart attacks.?We generally think of anger as bad, but there are times when anger actually can be good. But what we want to avoid is sinful anger. The Bible says, "'In your anger do not sin': Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold" (Ephesians 4:26-27, NIV).?At the same time, there is a place for proper anger, or what we might call righteous indignation. Jesus Christ himself displayed anger on more than one occasion, yet he didn't sin. In Luke 19, we find a description of the final week in his life and ministry. There was sense of anticipation and excitement in the air, because there was a misperception that he was going to establish his earthly kingdom right then.?The people thought Jesus was going to overthrow the Roman Empire, and they would rule and reign with him. Unfortunately, they had not read the Scriptures carefully enough, because if they had, they would have discovered that the Messiah would first suffer and die for the sins of the world. Many passages point to that, such as Psalm 22 and Isaiah 53.?In this story, Jesus shows anger. But He doesn't show it toward Rome as we might expect. He levels his anger at his own people, his people who had gone astray and were misleading others. The supreme issue for Jesus was not Rome's army; it was God's temple. That is where we see him going. He rode in on the back of a donkey, went into the temple, and ultimately started overturning tables.?This contradicts the perceptions that some people have of Jesus. In religious paintings, Jesus often has been portrayed as a scrawny little guy who couldn't hurt a fly. But that is not the Jesus of the Bible. Jesus was not scrawny. Jesus would have been muscular because Jesus was a carpenter. He chopped down trees. He framed houses. He built tables. He worked with his hands. He walked everywhere He went. Jesus was a strong man. Even Pilate, after Christ had been whipped, said of him, "Behold the man." He was a man's man. There has never been a stronger man who walked this earth than Jesus.?When Jesus overturned the tables in the temple, he was showing righteous indignation. He was angry because these religious leaders were preying on the people instead of praying for the people.?This is something that makes God angry. He is angry when we do anything that keeps people away from him. The temple was open to all. Even the Gentiles were welcomed in to believe. But the temple's moneychangers were keeping people away. God doesn't want us to do that.?Whenever we see the breakdown of a nation, we like to point our finger at our culture. We like to point our finger at everyone else. But the major problem is usually the church. When God looks at a country collapsing, he looks at his own people.?In its original context, 2 Chronicles 7:14 was given to the nation of Israel. But in principle, it is relevant to any country, including our own. In this verse God says, "If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land" (NIV).?As I look at our nation, as I look at the trajectory the United States is on right now, I shudder to think where we will be in five years, much less 10 years, if we don't have Divine intervention - if we don't have a supernatural awakening.?During the Revolutionary War, Gen. George Washington commissioned a naval flag that featured the words "an Appeal to heaven," a quote from John Locke. There was an acceptance and understanding that if this nation was going to succeed, we would need God's help. Our forefathers recognized that as a country yet to be born, it would be impossible to overcome British rule and persecution without appealing to heaven. That says a lot about the beginning of our nation.?Ironically, a group of pastors was recently kicked out of the U.S. Capitol Visitors Center over a prayer meeting with those very words as their theme. They had booked the center for an event on Feb. 25, 2015, dedicated to racial reconciliation. But five days before the meeting, they were told by the Congressional Oversight Committee that they could not use the facility unless they removed the phrase "An Appeal to Heaven" and used a legislative theme instead.?Talk about missing the point. The only thing that can bring racial reconciliation in America is an appeal to heaven. That's it. We need God's help. First we need to be reconciled with God. Then we can be reconciled to each other. The only thing that will stop the violence in our streets is an appeal to heaven. The only thing that will stop those who wish us harm and want to see us destroyed is an appeal to heaven.?So if a nation wants to see a revival, if a nation wants to see spiritual awakening, it starts with Christians. It starts with the church.??FROM THE HEART??IF YOU HAVE BEEN BLESSED THROUGH THIS MINISTRY, THEN WE ASK THAT YOU WOULD PLEASE REMEMBER PROPHECY UPDATE IN YOUR GIVING - WE ARE TRULY,?TRULY,?THANKFUL FOR YOUR SUPPORT??Prophecy Update has no corporate sponsors. America is in more danger of falling than at any time in its history. But I believe Bible prophecy predicts this very decline. From this point on, we believers have to get serious.
