20.0 credits Total 13.0 credits BCom Major Requirements + 7.0 credits Electives; of which 4.0 credits are required for the Accounting Concentration.

Students Pursuing CPA Designation If you are planning on pursuing a CPA designation, you will need additional courses in addition to those required for the Accounting concentration. For details regarding the paths to CPA please visit CPA Ontario.

Please note that students graduating from Sprott's Master of Accounting program are exempt from the CPA Canada Professional Education Program (PEP) and proceed directly to the CPA Canada Common Final Examination, which is one of the final steps in becoming a Chartered Professional Accountant.

Sprott Employability Passport Each year, students are required to register for a non-credit career development course, BUSI 1995 and participate in a selection of co-curricular activities and events covering several of the Employability Passport's eight skill areas: Career Management, Communications, Global Perspective, Leadership, Professionalism, Teamwork, Technology and Good Business.

The successful completion of the Sprott Employability Passport courses (BUSI 1995, BUSI 2995, BUSI 3995, and BUSI 4995) are graduation requirements for Sprott Bachelor of Commerce students admitted into first-year for Fall 2019.

For Fall 2019, new first-year students will have BUSI 1995 added to their registration in September. More details about the Sprott Employability Passport will be provided later in the summer months to your Carleton email address.
