ProForm ReadyDoc Manual Installation

Select the "SPAdmin" tab. Select the "Configuration" Action icon. Select "ReadyDocs" from the Managers List on the left portion of the screen.

To Export an existing document, highlight the one you wish to export and click "Export ReadyDoc" Browse out to a location on your computer and click "Save" (IMPORTANT NOTE! BE SURE TO RENAME ANY DOCUMENT CREATED BY SOFTPRO TO AVOID RISK OF OVERWRITING FILES WHEN DOCUMENT BUILDS ARE INSTALLED. TIP: Use a unique naming convention for documents you modify/create.)

To Import a new ReadyDoc (or to re-import a document that has been exported and edited - AND RENAMED!), click on "New ReadyDoc" Always create and save forms in a .doc format (Word 97-2003 Document). Select does not fully support .docx file formats. Forms imported in a .docx format may experience formatting issues.

Document Properties:

Name: File name of document (REMINDER: Different than SoftPro named document!)

Title: Name of the document as it appears in the tree.

Last modified/imported: The date and login name will appear here after the ReadyDoc, Bloc or Report has been imported and saved. This will change each time there is a modification to the lookup entry.

Format: Word ReadyDoc, Crystal Report, HTML ReadyDoc

Primary context: Selected when the document is designed. Depending on how the document is designed, the document will need a certain primary context. Generally it is a way of hooking up the document to print one per object. For example, if {{Order.Loan}} is selected as the primary context, the document will print a version for each loan in the order.

Category: Describes the type of document (Escrow, Title, Management, Accounting or Unrestricted).

Redirect: You can force a document to ignore the content of the document being rendered and instead render a document that has been specified in the "Redirect" drop down.

Edit option: Select from Read-Only, Restricted or Non-Restricted. This allows a document to be edited in preview mode depending on the rights of the user.

Inactivate: To inactivate a document, uncheck "Enable this document"

Trees: Indicates in which trees the document is located.

ReadyBlocs, ReadyDocs, and Reports now have a Versions tab available in their properties view.

Preview : This button will open Microsoft Word and allow the user to view the document that is selected in the list.

Pin/Unpin : This button allows the user to specify which version is being used in ProForm.

Visibility Conditions in ReadyDocs

Visibility conditions can now be added to individual ReadyDocs as well as entire ReadyDoc Tree folders. This allows you to supress documents or tree folders from the users view on an order by order basis.

The visibility condition uses standard Python. You can get information about Python online or for SoftPro specific questions, you can refer to the SoftPro Developer forum: devforum.

ReadyDoc Tree properties: Open ReadyDoc properties, use expression editor to add the Python code.

The Python is added using the expression editor only (accessible through the ellipses button). Typing or pasting directly into this field will not change the condition here.
