NO OBJECTION CERTIFICATE (NOC) FROM MINISTRY OF NATIONAL REGULATIONS AND SERVICES

(For undergraduate, graduate and post graduate students/scholars including PhDs and MS programs but not including MD Doctors)

These are the requirements for obtaining No Objection Certificate for J-I waiver from the Ministry of National Regulation and Services, Government of Pakistan, Islamabad.

1. A duly notarized Affidavit (Please see below for sample affidavit)

2. A letter indicating the reason for NOC.

3. Letter of offer/Agreement of the course/job you intend to join.

4. Passport copies. Pages 1-4 & last 2 pages & J-1 visa page with copy of IAP-66/I-20 from the date you entered in USA.

5. An attested copy of Pakistani NICOP (I.D. Card)

6. If NOC was issued previously, please attach copy of the NOC.

7. NOC from the organization who signed your IAP-66/I-20 on arrival to USA.

8. Copies of you Bachelor/MS/PhD degree (whichever is applicable).

PLEASE NOTE THAT ONLY THE MINISTRY OF NATIONAL REGULATIONS AND SERVICES, GOVERNMENT OF PAKISTAN IS AUTHORIZED TO ISSUE THE NOC. YOUR APPLICATION WILL BE FORWARDED TO THE MINISTRY FOR THEIR DECISION

Affidavit

2. I am currently undergoing _____________________________ course/job at _________ funded by the _______________ scholarship/aid offered by the U.S./Pakistan government or non-government organization/agency (please select one and specify the government Ministry or agency offering the scholarship).

OR 2 (a). I am currently undergoing _____________________________ course/job at __________ and I have not received any scholarship or aid from U.S./Pakistan government or nongovernment organization/agency (Please fill one out of point number 2 and 2 (a))

3. I have/have not received scholarship or aid from U.S./Pakistan government or nongovernment organization/agency in the past (In case you have, please give details like the name of the scholarship/aid (if any), the dates and the scholarship/aid providing agency)

4. That after completing the course/contract term of job mentioned in point 2 above, I will/will not return to Pakistan.

5. That I have been offered further studies/job in _____________________

6. That I am/was a Government of Pakistan employee OR I have never been a Government of Pakistan employee (Please select one)

7. That I was/was never issued a J-I waiver NOC previously.
