New Year Health Trainer

Firstly, my staff and I would like to wish you a very Happy New Year and thank you for all your lovely cards and gifts. They were much appreciated.

We are acutely aware many of you have been poorly with flu and we do hope you are feeling better. We are very pleased to report that the recent outbreak of influenza has eased considerably and we would like to thank those of you who took up the opportunity to come into the surgery and have the flu vaccination. We certainly had a good response and will be expanding our flu jab campaign next year to build on our numbers to help protect all our patients and the wider community.

On a lighter note we are delighted to offer a new service at The Good Practice to help patients fulfill their new year resolutions of getting fit and improving their general health. Please see the details below and give it a go! I am!

With warm wishes,

Dr Hammond

Inside This Issue

1. Welcome

2. New Year Help with a New Health Trainer

3. Chelsea Sports Centre

4. Telephone Triage Service for all patients

5. PPG Patient Participation Group for The Good Practice

Our telephone triage service is now up and running, and judging by the number of people using the service, we feel it has been a great benefit. Dr Marwah and I have been able to help many more patients each morning on the telephone and have reduced the need for many patients to come into the surgery to see us face to face. Of course if we feel there is a need to come into see us after our telephone consultation we ALWAYS follow up with a face to face consultation here in the surgery or a home visit.

We have noticed that many more younger people are using the telephone triage service than older people. We would like to encourage everyone to give the service a go if you have a medical problem.

We of course continue to offer morning and afternoon pre bookable appointments and so hope we are serving everyone. Please do continue to give us your feedback. Your opinion matters greatly to us.

Telephone Triage Service

You may not be aware about the subsidised services which are available to all patients at the Chelsea Sports Centre. You need a referral from your GP which we are very happy to provide. The referral will enable you to take advantage of the newly upgraded facilities at the Chelsea Sports Centre at a subsidised rate.
