Quotation Marks for Dialogue
Use quotation marks around the exact words someone says when they are speaking. If the dialogue tag comes at the beginning of the sentence, include a comma before the quotation. example: Avery said, "Look at that giant tree." If the dialogue tag comes at the end of the sentence, use a comma instead of a period to end the quotation. example: "I am very tired right now," William said as he yawned.
