DREW COUNTY FAIRBOARD ASSOCIATION LAWN MOWER RACEWAY

Racing at Drew Co. Fairgrounds, Monticello, AR. We all look forward to another exciting year of this great sport. As in past years we are always looking for reasonable changes we can implement to make this sport safer and more enjoyable. We look at what other racing groups are doing, what mower build techniques they have and try to improve on them. We reach out and listen to what racers are saying and if what they say makes sense and fits our vision, then we strongly consider what they say.

This year we will be making changes in areas that we feel make the mower safer, some changes that will help to cut down on the arguing amongst racers.

Let us all remember that we should strive to maintain professionalism in our appearance and conduct, and we hope to keep participation FUN, AFFORDABLE, SAFE and completive. For those who wish to spend time seeking loopholes in the rules or defeat the spirit of the rules; we suggest you are racing for the wrong organization.

Always remember that wherever we do race it will be conducted in a safe, professional manner and hope everyone would conduct themselves the same whenever we race at other places.

So, WELCOME to the 2015 season!! Hope that everyone has a safe, exciting year and ENJOYS the fellowship of your fellow racers.

RULES AND REGULATIONS

Here are the rules as they stand for the 2015 season. As with any set of rules and regulations, the officials and inspectors reserve the right to add or amend any rules which they deem necessary to aid in the production of racing. This will be done primarily for the purpose of MAINTAINING SAFETY and FAIR COMPETITION for all.

The omission of any rule or guideline does not authorize any participate to assume legality. It’s better to get clarification of a rule, rather than be disqualified by assuming.

The following rules and regulations are designed to provide orderly conduct of racing events and to establish acceptable requirements for such events. These rules shall govern the condition of all events. No expressed or implied warranty of safety shall result from publication of or compliance with these rules and/or regulations. They are intended as a guide for the conduct of the sport and are in no way a guarantee against injury or death to participants, spectators, or others.

We feel these rules are important to the safety of all racers and to other clubs who want with us. We realize there are lots of clubs with lots of rules and regulations. We want to invite anyone to race with us, providing there are no real safety issues.

A lot of time, money, and energy has been spent on mower fabrication and engine building, Keep that in mind when racing and RACE CLEAN and SAFE. Although mishaps will happen from time to time on the track. Lets’ look out for each other, keep ourselves and our mowers in the same condition as when started the race and as when we leave the race.

LETS’ KEEP THE SPORT WHAT IT WAS MEANT TO BE
