Note on “Reactive airway disease”. RAD is a term used in young children who have had several episodes of wheezing; it’s a precursor to asthma, but not all persons with RAD with have asthma. Unless “asthma” is stated in the chart, RAD alone would not count as asthma (and would also not count as emphysema or COPD. ................
