To take the STAR test:
1. Open your browser (Google Chrome). Open the Middle School Links tab. Click on Renaissance Learning.
(Search Google for “Sparta Middle School links” if it doesn’t open automatically, or go to .)
2. Choose I’m a Student.
3. Log in…
User name = First.Last
Password = your student number
If it doesn’t work, get your real user name and password from your teacher.
If you are locked out, ask your teacher to clear your account.***
4. On the HOME page…
a. Click on the STAR Reading button.
b. Choose your class and click next.
c. Click start.
d. Monitor Password = ADMIN
e. Take the test.
*** Note for teachers: To clear locked students, go to the users button on the home screen.
