2012 COMMENTS:
I am still enjoying my retirement years and a new relationship.
My friend, Lois Perkins, lives in Concord and we have many memories,
friends and experiences in common. Each of us lost our spouse
around the same time and we were fortunate to have found each other.
Both Lois and I are retired and enjoy kayaking, riding our GoldWing
Trike, camping and spending time with our children and grandchildren.
Between us, we have 9 grandchildren and we keep busy attending their
sports events and other functions.
We spend summers in Concord and Meredith and winters in North Port, FL.
2009 COMMENTS:
I became a widower March 2007. As time goes by one manages to
find a new path that makes life interesting. I bought a new Harley
motorcycle May 2009. I will be taking it to North Port, FL when
I go down this winter.
2002 COMMENTS:
My wife, Cheryle, and I retired in 1998 without regrets and we have never
looked back. In 1998, we planned to build a home in Southwest Florida,
however, not ready to be a "senior citizen" and difficult to be away from
our family. Our children, Chris and Sarah settled or relocated in the local
areas. We now have 3 grandchildren, 5 and 3 years and 7 months old. As all
proud grandparents enjoy spending time with them. After deciding we did not
want to be identified as "senior citizens," we bought a home in Bow in need
of renovation. We now divide our time between Bow, our summer home in
Meredith, and traveling anywhere we want to go with our 5th wheel travel
trailer. We our busy, active and life is good.

2012 COMMENTS:
After High School, I moved to Little Rock, Arkansas, where I met and married,
Conrad, the father of my three children. We moved to Crow, Oregon in 1973,
where we bought a mini farm in the country. There we raised our kids and all
manner of farm critters.
We're all lovers of the outdoors and the Pacific Northwest. Camping, hiking,
climbing, and also exploring long stretches of the Oregon coastline are among
some of our favorite pastimes.
My two sons and one daughter still live in Oregon. Two live in the Willamette Valley and one has made his home in the high desert near Bend,
Oregon. I also have two grandchildren.
I'm a photographer, a soap maker, a maker of wines, cordials and fruit
liqueurs. I shoot, fly fish, kayak, snowshoe, cross country ski, and hike
any chance I get. I love gardening, reading. drawing, writing and exploring
new places.
I graduated from Nursing School in Oregon with my RN degree. I received my
CRRN training at the Harborview Medical/Trauma Center, in Seattle, WA. I was
employed by the Peace Health Medical Center including the Oregon
Rehabilitation Center, Sacred Heart Medical Center and Sacred Heart Home
Health Agency from 1987 until I retired in 2009.
I moved to Florida in 2011, and after six months, I came out of
retirement when offered the position of RN, Consultant for Miami Jewish Health
Systems.
I'm a person who's ever eager to see what lies around that next bend in the
trail. I'm all about paying attention and being in the moment, because you
never know what the Universe might serve up next!
Live is Good!

2012 COMMENTS:
I have just retired (June 1 2012)from a forty six year career in the
construction industry, constructing water and wastewater treatment facilities. I have, in a small way, participated in the clean up of
all major N. E. rivers. After living many years in ME, VT, MA and Ohio,
I am back living in the south end of Concord.
I've been an active outdoorsman participating in rock and ice climbing,
whitewater kayaking and winter mountaineering. I ran two marathons in
Portland, ME and Montreal. I own a thirty six foot sailboat that I keep
in Rockland, ME and cruise the N. E. coast from Pennobscot bay to Buzzards
Bay. I helped a friend sail his boat from Bermuda to Long Island Sound.
I have skied every winter for fifty-four years. I make frequent ski trips
to UT, CO and British Columbia. I have traveled throughout the US and
Europe. I appeared in the movie "Southie" starring Donnie Wahlberg and
Rose McGowan.
I have three adult daughters, all doing well. It's been a active,
satisfying life. Fair winds and following seas to all my classmates.

2012 COMMENTS:
Following graduation I traveled to Alaska and worked for the
University of Alaska in Fairbanks. 1964 enlisted in the Army
Helicopter maintenance; 1966 Warrant Officer Flight Training
Helicopter; 1967 Vietnam and back to Alaska; 1968 Marriage to Pat;
1969 Discharged from the Army; 1970 Flew commercial helicopters
in Alaska; 1972 State of Alaska employed as an Alaska State Trooper,
stationed in Sitka, Anchorage, Bethel, Fairbanks, Nome, and Aniak,
AK. I have worked every type of criminal case during my years. I
also fly a state Cessna 185 in Aniak as my patrol vehicle, along
with a boat, snow machine and pickup truck. Retired in September
of 1994. Pat and I divorced in 1995. I left Alaska and traveled
to the east in a new truck picking up a 5th wheel trailer in Oregon.
I met a family friend when in MA, Carolyn, and traveled back to Alaska.
We spent the summer on the Kuskokwim River in a cabin built in it was
owned by the Magistrate who was the judge in my cases in the Aniak.
River Boat was our primary mode of transport in summer. Travel in winter
was by snow machine. We stayed from August thru March heating with wood
and no inside plumbing.
Carolyn and I were married on the shores of the River at a Homestead in
September 1996. Our home was in Stockbridge, MA. For eight years I worked
As an FAA A&P mechanic and pilot in Canaan, CT rebuilding antique Airplane
in the winter. We traveled in the summers with our pickup and Camper. In
2002 I was invited to fly for an Elephant project in Africa. Flying in
Kruger National Park in South Africa and in Northern Botswana. The
experience was super; Jeff Corwin did a film segment for Animal Planet he
was a wild and crazy guy to work with. In 2005 we bought a 25ft Cruiser
boat and traveled 800 miles on the Erie Canal, Lake Ontario, The St Lawrence
River to Montreal and down to the Richelieu River and Canal into Lake
Champlain. Continuing into the Champlain Canal system and Returning to our
starting point in Waterford, NY. In late 2005 we traveled to the Maritime
Provinces of Canada Labrador, Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, driving 5,000 miles,
a great trip. In early 2007 I worked on a book in involving my Trooper years
in the Bush of Alaska.
In 2007 I had an idea for a small business about mounting Helicopter
Rotor blades on wood plaques. was conceived. The
Primary source for sales would be to Vietnam Veterans involved with
Helicopters and Law Enforcement helicopter operations. The business was
doing ok but, my wife was not a happy camper.
Carolyn and I divorced in 2010 we are still friends I moved to North AL
for something different purchasing a home and building a shop for my
equipment I knew no one in Alabama. I am slowly looking for a lady friend
with mutual interests to live and travel with.
Mike Royce’s First cousin Everett P. Runnells from Concord was in my
Helicopter Unit in Vietnam and was killed in action 27 August 1966.
Rest in peace Everett!

2002 COMMENTS: (note: this letter was received from Tom after Brenda called
Dick Frambach to check on Dick's new address. Dick asked if Tom was coming
to the reunion and Brenda told him that our information on him said,
“deceased: Vietnam, 1966." Brenda then wrote to Tom and received the
following replay.)
I always thought I didn't hear from the class became I wasn't very popular
back then. But no, I'm not dead. The closest I ever got to Vietnam was 200
miles south on an aircraft carrier bristling with planes loaded with
missiles, bombs, and cannons. The North Vietnamese didn't have much of a
navy and not enough planes to come 200 miles for a fight, so I really wasn't
in too much danger of getting shot at.
My life has been mostly like my high school years. Just plain and ordinary,
not much to speak of. I joined the Navy right out of high school. I got
out 4 years later and stayed out for 3 and a half yeas and went back in. I
started out as an aircontrolman, but because of a hearing loss due to
tinnitus, I had to change my job and spent the rest of my career as a
photographer. I stayed for 20 years. While on Guam in 1972, I married my
wife. (Well, she wasn't my wife until I married her.)
We have two children, a son, 26 years old. He is married and has a 5 year
old daughter. We also have a daughter and she is 25. Single career woman,
not interested in settling down yet.
After the Navy, we moved to Wichita, Kansas, where my wife is from. I took
on a second career as a detention deputy for the Sedgwick County Sheriff and
will celebrate my 15th year in August. My son is a detention deputy also.
I was awarded the bronze medal for meritorious duty for saving the life of
an inmate that was trying to hang himself.
My daughter lives in Indianapolis, Indiana, working for her best friend.
She and her husband own a property management company and have quite a
business. My daughter is their right hand woman and she has offered me a
job when I get tired of the jail. I have recently found out that I will be
retired from this job on the 21st of December, 2003 and have duly made notice
to those interested that I fully intend to move to Indianapolis to work for
my daughter.
My wife is a teacher and has a masters degree in linguistics. She teaches
English as a second language to kids that are new to the US and need to have
some English proficiency to be able to survive in the school setting. She
is in full agreement with me on moving to Indiana. She misses her daughter.
They are best of friends and it was hard for her when she moved.
Well, for a dead person, I think I have been pretty active for the last 36
years.
Although I won't be able to make it to the reunion, I appreciate you writing
to me. I hope you let the rest of the class know that I haven't gone
anywhere, I'm still here kicking and screaming.

Dennis, is also in the Navy and just received a Bronze Star for his work

2012 Comments:
Unfortunately, I didn't plan so well, so will miss the reunion.
After graduating UNH in 1967, I spent three years in the U.S. Army.
Married Judy Jackson, went to grad school, and began teaching elementary
school. Later became principal, retired after 30 years.
Spend time now with grandchildren, trying to stay off the deceased list
by being a gym rat. We all hike Monadnock frequently, and still manage
to crawl up and down the Whites, every so often.
Please tell Eddy Breslin (if he's not too busy taking his drivers test
over again) his political views were correct, I've been a convert since
1976. Hi to Curvy Meservy and David Penhale. Monique, please forgive me.
2002 COMMENTS:
I am the luckiest man in the world. Hi, to everyone.

2012 COMMENTS:
U.S. Navy, 1962 thru 1966. Philadelphia College of Art 1966-1970, Major in
Photography. Returned to NH in 1972. Married my wife, Joan, in 1973.
Worked at NH Hospital for 7 plus years. Nursing school 1986-1988 St. Joseph
Hospital School of Practical Nursing. Worked as a nurse from 1988 to 2005.
Retired 2005.
I have three four legged children, Sam, and Annie, my cats and my faithful
companion, Dot, a Brittany Spaniel. Plans for the future include looking
forward to my wife Joan retiring at the end of the school year 2013 and
traveling to see the Pine Ridge Indian reservation in South Dakota and meet
with the members of the Sioux Indian Nation which we help to support.
2010 COMMENTS:
I went to nursing school at Saint Joseph Hospital in 1986 at the age of 43.
After graduation in 1988, I worked at Saint Joseph in Nashua for 6 1/2 years
working Medical/Surgical nursing and Oncology. Left in June of 1994 and
started working for Concord Visiting Nurses at their Hospice House on the
Concord Hospital grounds. Left Hospice nursing end of 1996 and worked for a
nursing agency out of Londonderry, NH, doing staff relief in nursing homes
until forced to retire from nursing in 2005 due to Osteoarthritis which
ultimately required major lumbar back surgery in May of 2005 and right Hip
replacement in January of 2006. I have done all kinds of different things
over the years, US Navy 1962 to 1966, worked at a school in Philadelphia, PA
for retarded children, worked at Keystone Insurance Co. for a while, Bell
Telephone of PA went to night school at the Philadelphia College of Art in
Philly majoring in Photography. Worked in commercial photography in southern
New Jersey for a bit before returning to Concord in 1972 almost to the day I
left in 1962 to go into the Navy.
Did some Photography work here as well as working for NH Hospital for a
total of roughly seven years doing Psychiatric nursing as a Mental Health Worker. I look back on my Psych nursing experience as one of the most rewarding times of all the nursing I have done. So there you have it.
It's been an adventure!

2012 COMMENTS:
In the past 50 years since graduating from CHS life has been good to me and
my family. I married Margie (Hayes-CHS ‘64) in 1968 and we settled in the
South End of Concord. We’re still there! We have one son, Chris (CHS’89).
I have been involved in the Hayes family business (NH Distributors) for 44
years. I’ve had the luxury of being able to slowly ease into retirement and
I’m looking forward to taking that final step. Our son Chris works there
along with two cousins. It’s gratifying to see the family business
transition down to the next generation.
I have been happily involved in many groups and organizations over time that
include Concord Boys and Girls Club, Concord Youth Hockey, Greater Concord
Chamber of Commerce and Concord Hospital where I am still a member of the
Board of Trustees and the Trust Board. I have greatly enjoyed my association
with all of these organizations. I enjoy golf, walking, reading and being an
active grandfather to our three grandchildren.

2012 COMMENTS:
After Concord High it was off to Clemson University in South Carolina for
a BA, followed by a MS at the University of Kentucky. I then went on active
duty with the Air Force where I earned another MS. After several stateside
moves we ended up in Belgium for 4 years followed by 7 years in Germany.
During those eleven years we did extensive traveling in Europe with trips
to the middle-east and Africa. Our son and daughter both graduated from
high school in Europe with our son doing a year at an English college and
a half year in Vienna, Austria before graduating from American University.
We then returned to the states for two more assignments where our daughter
graduated from the College of William and Mary.
I retired from the Air Force as a colonel after 28 years and quickly found
out that being retired can be a lot busier than working. We got into the
antique car scene and I have been president of the MG Car Club of the metro
Washington area and North American secretary of the Riley Register (UK). I
have also served as president of the Warrenton Lions Club, church treasurer
and church senior warden. Our Traveling hasn’t ceased as we have added trips
to Europe, South America, South Africa, Canada and several trips to Australia and New Zealand.
2002 COMMENTS:
Long ago I told myself that when work was no longer fun I would retire and do
what I wanted to do. That time came 5 years ago. Luckily good investments,
inheritances and a pension made this possible. Kay and I enjoy traveling as
well as work around the house. We have made the most of these as we fixed up
the old house, sold it, and built our dream house. Now we can landscape the
yard, finish the basement and so on. Our travels have taken us to such
diverse places as Newfoundland, Labrador and Ireland. Probably the high
point came in 2000 when we spent two months in New Zealand and Australia.
We tied our trip in with a car rally through the outback. Over 1000 miles
through the outback in cars often 70 years old was memorable. Yes, we are
still into old cars and have more cars than we know what to do with. We
spend the spring and fall at car shows showing one car or another. Alan
completed an MBA at Ohio State and is product manager for a hospital
equipment manufacturer. Kathryn completed a graduate program from Virginia
Commonwealth University in Information Technology and specializes in Web
design.
1992 COMMENTS:
After having lived in Europe for 11 years, we have returned to the States.
I am Director of Command, Control, Communications and Computer Resources
for the Air Force Material Command headquartered at Wright-Patterson Air
Force Base in Dayton, Ohio. While Kay taught in Europe in both international
and American schools, she currently is sitting out a year to get our new home
set up. Alan graduated in May from American University in D.C., and Kathryn
is a sophomore at William and Mary College in Williamsburg, VA.

2002 COMMENTS:
After RISD and the European Honors Program in Rome, Italy,
I came to New York City to work as an Art Director in a toy
design and inventing firm.
For the past 15 years I've been a self-employed toy designer
and inventor. I've worked for Mattel, Hasbro, Fisher Price,
Parker Bros and many others.
Today I spend (extraordinary) time organizing my first home,
requiring handyman and gardening skills I never developed as
a condo owner in Manhattan!
I now invent and make one-of-a-kind teddy bears, each with a
unique scenario, poem and handmade play pieces. They are in
the category of collectable art objects rather than toys for
children.
My husband Mico (his main activity is consulting in US-Italy
relations) and I are also developing a line of animal toys,
related children's stories, and home and gift products inspired
by the North Fork of Long Island, NY, were we live.

Life has had its up and downs but...like you, I made and make the best of it!
I'm so very fortunate to have such great classmates that I've kept in touch
with over the years! Looking forward to seeing my good friends!
Here's to our 50th and how very fortunate we are to celebrate it! See you
then! P.S. Wait till you see how CHS has changed!
1992 COMMENTS:
(1) Since our last reunion, I have entered "widowhood",
"empty nest syndrome" and "menopause"!!! So goes life!
(2) Thirty years have past,
Since I've seen my classmates last.
I'm sure there has been a lot of change,
And a "few of us" really look strange!
Of course there may be more "gray hair"
or "less hairs"
But the Class of '62 still isn't ready for rocking chairs!!
So, on to this Reunion for some nostalgic fun,
After all, this class was known for getting things done!!!

Carrie, our seventeen year old, is president of the Junior Class at Hopkinton

decisions come harder for them it seems.
Ben is preparing to become an Eagle Scout. He's looking for a project and
is a freshman at Hopkinton.
Rodger is in his 3rd year of running his own plumbing and heating business
and is both a Master Plumber and Electrician.
I am in my 20th year of teaching and currently have the title of Assistant

Sue E. Williams (1944 - 2011)
CONTOOCOOK - Sue E. Williams, 66, passed away peacefully at home on

at Chichester Central School. Known as "Mrs. Williams" to her 3rd graders,
they filled her life with laughter, love and hugs. Her capacity for caring
for others in a truly meaningful way made her a wonderful educator. She
truly enjoyed her profession.
She is survived by her three children, her daughter Kate Kennedy and her
husband Peter of Contoocook, her daughter Carrie Williams of Contoocook

2012 COMMENTS:
I was a financial advisor for 37 years and retired from UBS Financial in
January 2007. I have been coaching basketball for the past 25 years spending
most of that time working with all age groups in the AAU system in Concord.
I spend my time now maintaining an interest in the investment world while
trying to get in 100 rounds of golf a season. I recently continued my
interest in basketball in the business world. I am now working part time
for The Art of Basketball. AOB is under license from the National Basketball
Association and presents a collection of art, which taps a select group of
leading graffiti and street artists. From these images we produce a line of
consumer products. Some of these products include original art, women’s
apparel such as scarves and high end women’s tops.
Anne and I are enjoying retirement. We have done some traveling to Arizona,
California and Florida to visit with relatives. We have also spent time in
New York City to see our son, Garrett, perform who is a musician and lives in
Brooklyn. We both enjoy playing golf and snowshoeing. We still own our 1838
farm house in Chichester with many perennial gardens, a wonderful view and
continue to enjoy country living.

Married in 1967. Lived in East Hartford, CT for
2 yrs., built a home in South Windsor, CT and have lived their for 43 years.
Before starting our family, I worked for Pratt & Whitney Aircraft in East
Hartford as a private secretary. I did stop work to raise our sons though.
Then worked as an office manager at another engineering company. I have been
out of the work force for approximately 10 years watching and enjoying our
granddaughters growing up.
My husband, Gordon, presently is self employed as a real estate investor.
He is slowly approaching retirement. I’m looking forward to our retirement years together. We hope to do more extensive traveling while we both are healthy.
I’m very excited to attend our 50th High School Reunion to see my friends and classmates again. Fifty years have certainly flown by! I want to personally thank the Reunion Committee on their wonderful week-end planned.
Looking forward to seeing everyone real soon.

2012 COMMENTS:
After graduating from CHS, I attended the University of New Hampshire. I graduated in 1966 with a degree in Forestry. I had participated in the ROTC
program and graduated a Distinguished Military Graduate. On graduation day
I was commissioned into the United States Army as a second lieutenant.
I spent about 21 years in the US Army and was stationed around the world
including Germany, Vietnam, Thailand, and South Korea. In the United States
I was stationed in Georgia, Maryland, Texas and Kansas.
While at Fort Leavenworth in Kansas, I met my future wife, Merle. We were
married in 1981 and several months later were living in Seoul, South Korea.
We enjoyed our two years in South Korea. From Korea we returned to
Leavenworth, Kansas which is where we now reside.
When I retired from the US Army, I became a ski instructor and taught skiing
at a small local ski area called Snow Creek. I taught skiing for about
seventeen years.
My wife and a friend bought a small shop in Leavenworth. Merle bought out
her friend and worked to turn the store into a premiere gift and collectible
store. After I retired from the US Army, I went to work for my wife taking
care of the bills and payroll among other things. Merle had the store for
nineteen years. We finally closed the doors in January 2005.
Merle and I enjoy traveling and since we closed the store, we have made numerous trips to Europe. Much of our time has been spent in Germany. However, we have visited The Azores, Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, Hungary,
The Czech Republic, Poland, Luxembourg, Belgium, The Netherlands, France, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, and Austria.
Merle had two children when we met, Alan and Lori. We now have four grandchildren. One lives in Denver and is in college at Colorado State,
and the other three are living here in Leavenworth and go to the Lutheran School here. The oldest Leavenworth grandchild graduated from 8th grade
in May.
Thanks for all the work you do for the class Mike. Also thanks for talking
with Bob Murdoch. We lived across the street from each other when in school.
He sent me an E-mail asking what we were doing for our 50th reunion. At the
time I didn't know, and told him to contact you. Understand he even went to
one of your meetings. Thanks!
2002 COMMENTS:
Grandchildren are great! We love ours and enjoy doing things with them. We
took care of the three youngest ones for nine days in July. Now we know why
the Lord gives you children when you are young.
Merle and I also enjoy traveling when we can get away from the
store, and we make an effort to get away a lot more now that we
are getting older.
My most exciting news this year is that I will be inducted into
the University of New Hampshire's Wildcat Athletics Council Hall
of Fame on November 9th! (I do still run -- approximately 21
miles a week -- and participate in several races each year.)

EMPLOYMENT: Owner of Facilities First
(Project Management and Staffing Business 25e)
CHILDREN:
Two nephews and One grand nephew!
2012 COMMENTS:
I moved to California for a BS in Biology at UC Davis; then to Washington
State for a BFA in Fine Arts with secondary teaching certificate in biology,
chemistry and physics; moved to Southern California for my MFA and teaching
– which I did very little of because of the economy. After several years
working in construction, I migrated to Northern California and a position with Stanford University where I managed large real estate projects. After
11 years at Stanford I left for a position to manage the Real Estate and
Construction for the City of Mountain View (where Google is located) for 7
years. While working at the City I took a Masters Degree in Systems
Management – a business degree focused on organizational management. I then
became half owner of Facilities First (trusted advisors in facilities
professional services and software) in 1995 and am still there as CEO. We
had our best year to date in 2011. I’m not sure when I will transition to
another endeavor.
I have traveled internationally to a number of countries and have as a goal
to visit as many of the wonders of the world as I can. Having done a lot of
different kinds of art work including ceramics, textiles, metal sculpture and
personal collage - for the past 15 years or so I have been making jewelry
with semiprecious stone, silver and gold. After the 2002 reunion I started
to learn ballroom and Latin dancing and have been doing it ever since – it is
addictive and great exercise!
My brother and I have lost both parents now, but thankfully have remained pretty healthy. I don’t have children, but have nephews with two grand nephews and two grandnieces. I have been looking for the last love of my life, but so far he has eluded me. I am happy and content being solo and look forward to many more fruitful and fun years!
2002 COMMENTS:
Hi Everyone,
Since High School, I have been dabbling in lots of things including three
marriages - yes 3, which I didn't take lightly but some others did...
resulted in no children, but I have a wonderful grand nephew and lots and
lots of relatives. I am single now and have been for over two years.
I have a BS in Biology from the University of California and took teaching
certificates to teach high school biology, physics and chemistry - none of
which I ever ended up teaching full time. I did residential real estate
until I went back to school in fine arts - textiles and weaving, later a
Masters in Sculpture - one of those marriages moved me back to California
from Washington State. I worked in Construction and have a General
Contractor's license (inactive now) and had my own tile setting business.
Long story short - I worked as a Senior Project Manager at Stanford
University for 11 years, worked for the City of Mountain View as their Real
Estate and Capital Program Director for 7 years, now have my own company for
8 years (4 of which I have been actively involved) and have 25 employes = we
provide project management and staffing in the facilities arena to companies
in the Bay Area, CA. The business climate is very tough right now, but we
are holding our own! One of the big jobs we have is to consolidate two
campuses of Philips Semiconductor into one campus over a 1.5 year timeframe
web site is .
When I was 50 I went back to school for a Masters Degree in Systems
Management (and Organizational Development), a business degree with people
in mind rather than an MBA with mostly finance in mind - great experience!
I have done some travelling and have renovated several homes. My brother
(single too) and I live in the same condo complex and have some good friends
- went gold mining in Idaho last year and some mineral hunting this year.
I do beading as an avocation with silver and gold and semiprecious beads.
It helps through the tough times and (and my expensive fitness trainer!) helps beat the stress.
My brother and I have been struggling with aging parents the past few years.
Mom died in July. My dad (in assisted living) now has his meds balanced and
is a joy to be around at 85 - great sense of humor.
Looking forward to seeing everyone!

After graduation, I attended Oberlin College (Doc. Blanchard's alma mater)
graduating in 1966 with a B.M. in Bassoon Performance. I then played 3 years
in the New Orleans Symphony where I met my wife, Kathleen Kella a violinist.
We were married in 1969 and have since played together in The Louisville
Orchestra (KY), the Honolulu Symphony (Hawaii and Kathy's home town), the
Orquesta Nacional de Mexico (Mexico City, Mexico), the Minnesota Orchestra
(Minneapolis), the Detroit Symphony, and Michigan Opera Theatre.
In 1992, I began working as Technical Supervisor for the Michigan Piano
Company working on the rebuilding and restoration of fine older pianos. I
pursued this as well the orchestral performance with the bassoon until recently.
We have two children. Jonathan, who with his wife, is teaching in
Connecticut and Kristen who is here with us working toward a degree in
Biochemistry and Nutrition.
In 2004, I was diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease). I am currently in
a power wheelchair all the time, and though the disease is progressing very
slowly, it does mean that traveling back to Concord for the reunion is not
possible. It sounds as though you have a wonderful time planned and I wish
all of you the best.

2012 COMMENTS:
I guess that we never think about our time in high school until later in our lives. I haven't thought of names like Bulldog Reed, Earl Temple, Mary
Miles or Coach Louti for years. Some of us spent our days wondering if we
would ever make through the year, others seemed to sail through with no
problem I was born in Jamaica NY. We moved out to Long Island when I was
three years old, my family wanted us to get out of the city. When I was a
teenager I spent the summers swimming in the Long Island Sound and just
hanging with my friends. My family moved to NH in the fall of 1959.
I was a little nervous my first day at C.H.S. I didn't know any one in
Concord except my cousin Carole Lepine. Then I met a guy named Tom Beauschene. Tom and I hit it off from the beginning and are still best friends. He moved to Kansas after his 23 year hitch in the Navy, but we still keep in touch. He visits NH every few years and we always have a good time.
I wasn't able to enlist because of my eye problems, I moved back to N.Y. It
didn't take me long to figure out that I was spoiled by the life in NH and I came back a few years later and have been here ever since. I guess you can
call me a transplant, but I feel more like a native.
I started working for J.C. Pittman (PITCO Frialator) in Bow in 1966 and
retired in 2004. During that time I have had four career changes and spent
the last 17 years working in the maintenance dept.
I was married in 1970 to Mary Steele from Epsom. She attended Pembroke
Academy and graduated from Plymouth State Collage in 1969. She did her
Student teaching at Rundlett Junior High and taught Math there for 28 years.
She also taught Math at C.H.S. and at Coe-Brown in Northwood to fill in
for a teacher who was out on maternity leave. Her last five years was at
Newfound Regional H.S. in Bristol. She earned her Masters in 1985 from
Antioch and has been active in many organizations. She has served for 15
years as the chairperson of Epsom’s budget committee and three years on the
Selectman board. She is currently running for the position of the N.H House
of Representatives for District 21, which includes Epsom and Pittsfield.
After I retired, I found myself involved in a committee that was trying to
save the "Old Free Will Baptist Church" in Epsom. It was to be tom down to
make room for a Cumberland Farms store but the committee fought to move it
instead. You can find the story on the Epsom Historical Associations' Web
sight.
I am looking forward to seeing my friends and classmates in the fall.

The last 30 years: Attended Concord Hospital School of Nursing for 1 year
(wanted to party). Hung around Concord for another working and then went
to Colorado Springs (had my first child) for six months then to California
(LA area). A year later became a single parent and worked in the data
processing field. Thirteen years later moved back to Concord (culture
shock), daughter attended and completed high school at Concord High
School. She decided to attend college in the DC area (University of
Maryland) so moved to Arlington, VA for 5 years and then was working for
VISA, USA, as a computer operator and low and behold I was able to transfer
to California - Dorinda had graduated from college and it was time for mother
to be out on her own. So here I am in the beautiful Bay Area (San Francisco)
still single, vegetarian, part-time massage therapist, discovering some of
life's answers (hope they don't change the questions) and enjoying the
journey. Please, if any of you find yourself in this area,
PLEASE LOOK ME UP, I love to show people around.
