About the position:

Champlain is seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Senior Associate, Portfolio Reporting & Analytics with investment

management industry experience. The successful candidate will have a direct impact on the firm¡¯s portfolio reporting

and analytics effort by creating robust business intelligence dashboards and reports enabling our clients, as well as

the investment and client service teams, to glean meaningful insights into our various investment strategies.

Additionally, this individual will play an important role supporting the firm¡¯s broader data governance framework by

serving as data steward over applicable data domains. This individual will also act as the product owner for FactSet,

ensuring alignment between business needs and product features. This is a new role, reporting to the Director of

Operations, and will provide the opportunity to have a meaningful impact on Champlain¡¯s data transformation initiative.

Managing cyclical and ad hoc portfolio reporting deliverables, which includes inputs into client/prospect

collateral such as pitchbooks, client reporting, and DDQs/RFPs, as well as internal reporting to the investment

and client service teams.

Serving as a resource to the investment and client service teams for ad hoc inquiries such as those relating to

performance attribution, performance drivers, portfolio characteristics, and market data.

Creating and maintaining business intelligence (BI) reports in Power BI.

Creating and maintaining data views by executing SQL queries and leveraging the data platform (Denodo and

Snowflake).

Serving as data steward, supporting the firm¡¯s data governance framework, for applicable data domains, such

as performance attribution, security/portfolio characteristics, investment metrics, risk metrics, and market

data. This includes ongoing maintenance of a data catalog, troubleshooting data quality issues, and

onboarding and maintaining data sources.

Serving as FactSet product owner, which includes being the resident expert and internal resource for questions

related to FactSet; vendor governance and oversight, including issue and resolution tracking and interfacing

with consultants; maintaining the FactSet ecosystem (i.e., folder structure, system permissions, FDE library,

report library, OFDBs, and PLM); ensuring alignment between business needs and product features.

Manipulating data in Microsoft Excel utilizing advanced functions and pivot tables. This may extend to more

advance analytics utilizing Notebooks and Pandas.

Maintaining robust checklists, process, and procedure documentation.

Participating in strategic firm initiatives and projects, including our current data transformation effort.

About the successful candidate:

The successful candidate will have the following experience, skills, and interests:

? Strong interest in pursuing a career in portfolio reporting & analytics within the investment industry.

? Passion for financial markets, reporting, and working with data.

? Working knowledge of performance calculations, performance attribution, and security/portfolio

characteristics, such as ROE, P/E, profitability, and growth metrics, as well as an understanding of outlier

handling.

? Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables and functions such as lookups, index, match,

sumproduct, and various if statements.

? Hands-on experience with FactSet, including intermediate to advanced skills in Portfolio Analytics (PA),

Formula Development Environment (FDE), Data Central and OFDBs, Publisher, and Portfolio Library

Management (PLM); A robust understanding of underlying FactSet databases and data integration capabilities

such as APIs, Batcher, and Snowflake data sharing; and a robust understanding of FactSet symbology.

? Experience with Bloomberg is preferred, but not required.

? A growth mindset with a history of learning new skills.

? A Bachelor's Degree with strong academic credentials.

? 4 years of experience in the investment management industry desired, preferably in a portfolio reporting and

analytics role at an asset management firm or vendor/service provider.

? Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

? Critical, independent thinker with a strong attention to detail, the ability to problem solve, and the ability to

excel as a member of a team.

? Tenacity and the ability to shine under pressure.

? Prior experience utilizing a business intelligence (BI) tool such as Power BI or Tableau is strongly preferred,

but not required. It is expected that the incumbent will develop (continue to develop) BI skills.

? SQL skills are required.

? Python skills, including Notebooks and Pandas are a plus, but not required.
