The 2nd Annual Heartland Scrabble Tournament

Kansas City, Missouri

Saturday and Sunday, June 13th and 14th

Directors John Merlau jmerlau@kc. and Sheri Justice kcscrabble@ invite you to join us at the Holiday Inn Express-KCI Airport, 11130 Ambassador Drive Kansas City Mo 64153. We have a block of rooms reserved for the tournament. The group rate is $91.00 per night.

The HIE offers free shuttle service to and from the airport, free shuttle service to nearby restaurants and shopping, free continental breakfast, fitness room, pool and free parking.

Format: Round Robin/KOTH. Three divisions will be determined by entrants NSA rating with cut-offs at approximately 1100 and 1500. Directors reserve the right to adjust divisions as necessary.

Fees: $75.00 includes 13 games and lunch on Saturday. 100% of entry fees minus expenses will be returned as prizes. Registration fee must be received by June 8th, 2009. Registration is limited to 48 players so sign up early!

Saturday 8:00 - Registration & Welcome

9:00 - 4 games

1:00 - Catered lunch provided

2:00 - 4 games

Sunday 9:00 - 5 games (no lunch break but snacks provided)

Approx 2:30 - Awards
