Waltham Leas Primary Academy Waltham - Home Page

Good afternoon,

I would just like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their gifts, good wishes and kindness over the past few weeks as my retirement has approached.

It’s certainly been a strange time since we were forced to ‘lock-down’ in response to the Coronavirus, and one when our fantastic staff team have yet again proven their enormous worth, making sure that we stayed open for Key Worker children and providing on-line learning for all the children. I have to say however that it was not how I foresaw my career coming to an end.

I leave the school in a very good place, over the past 8 years we have built a committed, highly talented staff, and facilities that are the envy of many, all of which seems to be appreciated by the vast majority of our school community. I have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know you all, and would like to thank you for having such wonderful children, every one of them is an absolute delight!!

This was my 20th year as a Headteacher, and I can honestly say that I’ve enjoyed every one of them. It’s time for me to step aside and have a rest, but I’m sure that under Mrs Rigg’s expert guidance, the school will go on to even greater heights.

Once again, many thanks to you all.

Rob Beel

Headteacher
