Since most appliances are built in a way to be attractive on the exterior, they tend to hide the parts and wiring that make them work. A qualified and authorized service provider will need to be present to further troubleshoot and diagnose this appliance, and determine exactly what is faulty. They should also be able to provide an estimate of whether it is worth repairing or if it is better to replace.Posted Answer and Rating Box ClickedIf you feel I have not been very helpful or the answer I provided was not what you were expecting, then please DO NOT RATE ME BAD OR POORLY (1 or 2 stars), it will be much better for both of us if you just ask me again to continue looking for more information or another possible solution. Note: you will need to complete the 5 Star Rating Survey to close out this question.Best of luck to you,Dave Mold ResponsesO?kay not a problem... the best way to remediate the mold/mildew is to mix approximately 10-20% solution of bleach in water then simply wash/clean the area just like you would clean windows. Cautionary Notice: I recommend you wear some protective eye and breathing gear, as well as protect your clothing from the bleach solution. Once the area has been cleaned and it has dried, all that remains is to prime paint the affected area using a good quality Oil Base Primer, at least 2 coats, to help prevent future growth.Mold is nature’s way of breaking down and eliminating waste. It needs moisture and a food source, such as, paper, clothing, food, wood, etc., basically anything cellulose to grow. If you control the moisture and food sources, it won't grow. The 1032 was made by Honeywell for Vermont Castings and the 1040 was made by Honeywell for Honeywell. If you look at the remotes side by side the only difference is one say Vermont Castings and the other says Honeywell. Thermostat calls for heat, Exhaust fan starts, pressure switch closes, ignitor gets power for a set time, then after a predetermined time the gas valve is energized.Even if the ignitor is broken...the board sends power to it....and still sends power to gas valve at a set time. If no flame is recognized in 3 seconds after gas valve energized then the board shuts it down.So the only thing that turns gas valve off/on is the circuit board. What is the board coding? This can happen with a bad thermostat or weak thermostat. The reason no code appears is because the thermostat drops 24v from W terminal.I would try bypassing the thermostat first...remove top section and locate R and W wires and twist directly together. If furnace runs fine = bad thermostatIf furnace drops out (no gas valve) and light stays solid = bad boardSpa Links Jumper Wire Instructions Excellent Customer Troubleshooting Guide and Manual Vita Spa Parts AquaLink RS Troubleshooting Manual Super Troubleshooting Guide Tons of Manuals Here Excellent Guide Excellent Troubleshooting Guide Excellent Quick Reference Guides and Controller Programming Removing Air Locked in a SpaHere is a link to better explain how air can be released from the system. Please note this may not work for all spas as the plumbing can be completely different on each spa. This is general information only. draining and refilling your hot tub, the pump may become air locked. Air-locked pumps stop water from flowing in your hot tub and is easily resolved by bleeding off the trapped air. To do this: ? Turn off the GFCI breaker ? Open the access panel below the topside control panel ? Loosen a heater union until you hear the trapped air escape ? Once water drips out in a continuous stream, hand tighten the union until the water stops leaking ? Loosen the discharge union on Pump 2 (if equipped) as above ? Turn on all pumps to make sure that there are no leaks ? Put the access panels back on ? Turn on the GFCI breakerSpa High Limit Sensor TroubleshootingT?he high limit sensor is either working correctly or it is faulty.? If faulty it will need replacing, however if it is working properly here are a few recommendations to try and see if that resolves the problem, if not then that suggests it is faulty and needs replacing.1) Reset the high limit switch. This is usually done by pressing the large red button on your spa pack.2) Check your spa thermostat. It may be calibrated too high or it may not open the circuit when the set temperature is reached. Some thermostats can be calibrated with a tiny Allen screw or flat screw on the rear of the thermostat. Turn this screw a 1/4 turn counter-clockwise to calibrate down and see if that makes a difference. Replace the thermostat if you can't get it to function properly. Also make sure the thermostat probe is all the way in the thermal well. If the probe sticks out, it may not be reading the water temperature. Insulate the rear of the probe if it sticks out of the thermal well. If the probe is properly inserted and the thermostat is functioning, continue to step 3.3) Does the contactor open when the thermostat is turned down? If not, replace the contactor. If yes, proceed to the step 4.4) Measure the temperature of the high limit thermal well. If the temperature inside the thermal well is the same as the water temperature, replace the high limit switch. You may choose to test the temperature that the high limit trips at. It should trip between 110 and 120°F.If the temperature inside the thermal well is higher than the spa water, check for calcium build-up on the thermal well. If there is excessive scaling on the inside of the thermal well, replace the part. Low flow rate can also cause a higher temperature reading in the thermal well. Make sure your filter is clean and the slice valves (sometimes called knife or gate valves) are open completely to ensure adequate flow.Spa Light ModeLED lighting option (for spas equipped with optional LED color light): Press the Light key once to turn on the LED light. Press the Light key a second time to turn off the LED light. To select a specific color, after the LED light has been turned off, immediately turn on the LED light to change to the next color selection. Continue until the desired color is reached. The color setting will store in the memory when the LED light is turned off for more than 30 seconds. This feature allows the user to retain a favorite color setting. A total of 10 color settings are available: - Ice - Blue - Red - Green - Sunburst (yellow and orange glow) - Magenta (blue and red glow) - Tidal (fade between blue and green) - Afterburner (fade between red and yellow) - Color Burst Fast (entire color spectrum) - Color Burst Slow (entire color spectrum) Please Note: This symbol will be on solid on the control panel display when the light is turned onSpa Mode Setting ProceduresThere are three modes, ECONOMY (EC / ECO / ECON), SLEEP (SL / SLP) and STANDARD (ST / STD). For everyday use keep it on STANDARD mode.EC - EconomyST/STD - StandardSL/SLP - SleepIt is advised you keep your spa in Standard mode. Push the Jets button then immediately push the light button. Each press of the light button will scroll between these three modes.SL or SLP is one of the Modes you can program your spa into:Try pressing 'TEMP' then 'LIGHT'. You may have to do this a couple of times. If you don't have a 'TEMP' button, either the temperature up or down will also work.Pool Heaters and Trouble CodesJandy Lite 2 Heater This is a detailed troubleshooting diagramPentair Sand Filter Problems Aqua Critter and others Manual Salt Chart Guide Excellent Quick Reference ChartPool ChemistryGreen PoolThere are 2 basic reasons why your pool is turning green. Chemical Imbalance and/or Poor Filtration. Both these issues can be resolved over time, provided it isn’t too late. If the water is just beginning to turn green, you can correct the problem relatively quickly and inexpensively. However, if it has gone too long you won’t be as fortunate, since the water will most likely need to be completely replaced, followed by a thorough cleaning, and perhaps an expensive acid wash.Chemical Imbalance occurs for several reasons that include but are not limited to; poor cleaning habits, high usage, poor filtration, poor circulation, high temperatures, and many other reasons. Poor Filtration is just that, it’s poor. Pool water needs to be properly filtrated and the only way that happens is with adequate circulation. If you are not providing the correct amount of circulation, the chemicals can’t be properly circulated and the water will never be properly filtered, and if the filters are dirty, they can’t remove the microscopic particles to keep the water clean and clear, preventing algae growth. Here is a link to better understand how to properly care for a pool or spa. is a great way to kill algae quickly, however if you do not provide adequate circulation and proper filtration, shocking will not resolve the problem in the long run, in fact you will only add more problems and possible internal damage, not to mention wasting time and money.ChalkyAll pools, especially fiberglass, you need to maintain a certain level of calcium hardness. If your CH is very low, that may be contributing to your problem, or possibly the total alkalinity is too low and should be raised to 150 or above. It could also be the paint starting to break down from the chemicals and the sun's UV's.I suggest you take a water sample to your trusted pool supplier and let them do a water analysis to see if adding specific chemicals will help, specifically the chlorine, pH, alkalinity, calcium hardness, and stabilizer (cyanuric acid) levels.Since all these things are interrelated, if any of these are out of balance, it can be challenging to correct problems that have presented themselves. For example, a high calcium hardness level can cause scaling or chalky deposits to form on plaster, or if your pool is fiberglass, can cause aggregating and deposits to form. The excess calcium may also be disintegrating and turning into a chalky, powdery residue and could be coating the fiberglass shell, which is what you might be seeing. Here is where your water chemistry range should be; Chlorine (Free) - Between 3ppm (parts per million) and 10ppmpH - Between 7.2 and 7.8Alkalinity - Around 120ppmCalcium Hardness - Between 300ppm and 350ppmStabilizer (Cyanuric acid) - Between 30ppm and 70ppmIf you are like most pool owners you probably don't add stabilizer to your pool manually, since most chlorine tablets are made with a stabilizer in them, so if you've been using tablets for a while and haven't drained or refilled the water significantly, the stabilizer level may be higher than normal. This can cause "chlorine lock", where high cyanuric acid locks up the Free Available Chlorine and keeps it from oxidizing and sanitizing your pool. This can lead to algae blooms and even worse like bacteria and viruses. Simply press the + and - (Plus and Minus) - keys on the bottom of the numeric keypad simultaneously for 3 seconds. This resets the display panel for the range top to the factory default settings. Then reset the clock per the user manual, and you should be OK. Caused by temperatures on the glass top falling outside of the ranges expected by the display controls, and the control shuts itself off until it is reset to the factory defaults.Troubleshooting Tankless Water Heaters Troubleshooting.htmTroubleshooting Gas Water Heaters ................
