Harrison School District Two Teacher Leads Lessons on RMPBS

COLORADO SPRINGS 每 Colorado children in kindergarten through third grade will be able to

access age-appropriate literacy lessons on TV. Rocky Mountain PBS will include four

consecutive half-hour literacy segments, each tailored to students at one of the four K-3 grade

levels.

Colorado teachers will lead the lessons, including Harrison School District Two*s teacher,

Christina Randle. Christina is a 1st grade teacher at Soaring Eagles Elementary School and

will feature lessons at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. See full schedule below.

Starting Monday, May 18th (Monday-Friday) Daytime Schedule:

8 每 8:30 am MST- Kindergarten

8:30 每 9:00 am MST- 1st Grade (featuring D2 teacher, Christina Randle)

9:00 - 9:30 am MST- 2nd Grade

9:30 am 每 10 am MST 每 3rd Grade

10:00 am - Noon 每 4th-8th Grade social studies and science programming from PBS favorites

like NOVA, History Detectives, and others.

Noon-5 pm MST 每 6th-12th Grade history and literature programming from PBS favorites like

American Experience, Masterpiece, Ken Burns documentaries, and others.

Colorado Classroom 每 ※Read With Me at Home§ will re-air nightly from 3 a.m. 每 5 a.m. MST for

families to record. The lessons will be broadcast in English with Spanish subtitles.
