Role Purpose

To play a key level role in the planning of learning and development requirements, creation of learning programs and supporting employees participating in external learning programs, to continue to develop the capability of Relationships Australia Queensland's (RAQ's) workforce.

Key Responsibilities

Planning, Identification and Review Responsibilities:

? Identify learning needs in accordance with the organisation's strategic and operational plans

? Assist in the development and effectively communicate a learning strategy for the organisation and provide an annual learning plan that supports this strategy

? Draft documentation to secure funds both within the organisation and available from external sources that will assist in RAQ meeting ongoing professional development needs

? Evaluate existing learning programs, make recommendations for change, and upon approval, implement these changes

Creation of Learning Resources:

? Manage course development and delivery projects in collaboration with internal employees and external providers

? Develop, implement and evaluate packages that are engaging, support internal learning, and where possible are delivered via an online learning system

? Consider learning objectives, consult with subject matter experts and source relevant information to develop relevant and contemporary content

? Contribute to the identification and design of tools to automate and streamline processes within the Learning and Development team and when connecting with the broader organisation

? Train and supervise employees in the development of e-learning skills to better allow them to create their own e-learning packages

? Design and develop technical documentation and user manuals ensuring ease of use

? Review existing documentation stored within the document information system and create new documentation when relevant

Registered Training Organisation (RTO) Responsibilities:

? Liaise with the Australian Institute of Social Relations and other identified Registered Training Organisations to ensure the relevant delivery of programs to RAQ employees

Position Description Learning and Development Manager _________________________________________________________

? Initiate and support employees through certification courses to assist them in effectively contributing to RAQ

? Contribute to the exploration and provide advice on RAQ's capacity to provide learning programs within the community services sector

Leadership Responsibilities:

? Encourage and demonstrate the need for continuous professional development, and the value it provides to an organisation

? Provide learning and development employee/s with guidance and contribute to the feedback of their performance

Organisational Responsibilities:

? Adhere to the Code of Conduct in a manner that is consistent with both its spirit and intent

? Adhere to all organisational policies, procedures, standards and practices

? Act with honesty, integrity and good faith at all times

? Raise any issues or concerns in a manner consistent with RAQ complaints and grievance processes

? Undertake any other duties, consistent with skills and experience, as directed by the reporting manager

Selection Criteria 1. Qualifications and experience in Education or Human Resources, and Workplace

Training & Assessment are essential. Attainment of qualifications within the field of social science is desirable. 2. Demonstrated ability to identify business learning needs and develop strategies and associated plans. 3. Previous experience in the creation and delivery of learning packages, including in instructional design. 4. Proven ability to collaborate and consult to obtain relevant information from subject matter experts. 5. Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. 6. Ability to demonstrate excellent time management, attention to detail and prioritising skills. 7. Capacity to engage constructively and respectfully with individuals of diverse backgrounds and abilities to achieve high quality outcomes. 8. Ability to work as a team member within the ethos and values of Relationships Australia (Qld).
