We will take a look at selected short readings from three different time periods representing some of the best historical writings by?key?figures?in Anglican spirituality.? The excerpts will come from the book.? Each week we will read together two very short excerpts from each time period. Week One will cover the years 1530-1650, week two will cover the years 1650-1830 and week three will cover the years 1830-2001.? Through guided questions, we will discuss and share the aspects of Anglican Spirituality and Ethos in the passages we read. Copies of the selected readings will be provided.? ? Ezekiel 34:26.God blesses each of us- members of St Paul’s, our HOT guests, those who use our space, folks at the Hall of Fame Parade…all of us. Our goal is to gather 200 of God’s blessings. Just write your blessing on a raindrop, a blessing a drop, and paste it on the on the bulletin board. Testimony. Just that simple-- a name, a description, a symbol – you and God will know exactly what you mean. That starts off our 200. Followed by…The Rev. Brian Wilbert, rector of Christ Church Oberlin and archivist for the Diocese of Ohio, has been invited to present the history of the Diocese on Wednesday, August 2. Followed by … and ice cream social? The pictorial banners of the history of the Diocese will be on display from August 2 –Sunday, August 6, and we pack them up Monday to go to the next church. We will be sending out 200 invitations to community leaders, churches, and friends. Want an invitation to go to a friend? A wonderful event to invite friends to. Please provide their email and street address to the office by July 9. And of course, our goal is 200 guests.The Hall of Fame parade, just isn’t the parade without coffee, donuts, and other goodies. On Saturday, August 5, we will give away these delectable delights to 200 folks. Those who wish to make a donation in return for an edible do so knowing that their donation supports the outreach ministries of the church. Brenda Maurer is the person to see about your donation and to volunteer. And a portable, Board of Blessings like the one mentioned above will be available for parade folks to sign.Please save the date and plan to attend the Convention Eucharist at 3:00 pm Saturday, November 11, at the Huntington Convention Center, connected to the Hilton. Presiding Bishop Michael Curry will be the Celebrant and Preacher. This will be followed by a reception and Bicentennial Banquet in the Superior Ballroom of the downtown Hilton. You can register via the diocese website .On Sunday, November 12 at 9:30 there is a Youth and Young Adult conversation with Bishop Curry at Bellwether Farm, followed by the Eucharist and Dedication of the farm, potluck lunch.
