Daser Restaurant Group Case StudyBackground Daser Restaurant Group, LLC is the exclusive SONIC franchisee for Rockland, Dutchess, Westchester, Putnam, Orange and Ulster counties in New York and Danbury, CT. Prior to forming Daser, owners Doug Slater and Steve Roberts met as college roommates. The longtime friends were successful businessmen but did not have any restaurant experience. In April of 2009, they opened their first restaurant in Kingston, New York and have subsequently opened two additional locations north of Manhattan in the Hudson River Communities. The Challenge Daser was paying high fees to a full-service accounting firm to manage their financials.
