Dear 8U Coaches and Families, On behalf of Chichester Baseball League, it is our privilege to welcome you to the 2019 8U Pennsylvania Cal Ripken Southeast State Tournament. Each team, player, coach and family member has worked hard and dedicated countless hours this season to earn the right to participate in this tournament, and you should be very proud of your accomplishments. We’ve pulled together some information to share with you as you prepare your visit to our area. The enclosed information includes: directions to our fields, local restaurant, hotel information – and more. Please let us know how we can help make your stay more enjoyable. Any questions please feel free to e-mail any of the Chichester Baseball League contacts provided in the attached, and we will do the best we can to help. Baseball is more than a game on the field. It teaches us many life lessons. Many friendships and memories will be made the week of the tournament. No matter the outcome on the field, you all are winners! Cal Ripken, Jr. once said, “Whether your name is (Lou) Gehrig, (Cal) Ripken, (Joe) DiMaggio or (Jackie) Robinson, or that of some youngster who picks up his bat or puts on his glove, you are challenged by the game of baseball to do your very best day in and day out. That’s all I’ve ever tried to do.” We now challenge each of you to be the best you can be on the field and more importantly, off the field as well!! Enjoy your visit to our area. We wish you and your team the best of luck in the upcoming tournament! Thank you, Chichester Baseball League Board of Directors "Nobody ever said, "Work Ball!" They say, "Play Ball!" To me that means having fun." - Willie Stargell "Kids today are looking for idols, but sometimes they look too far.....They don't have to look any farther than their home because those are the people that love you.
