Individual Education Plan

Child’s Name: Matthew Roberets

Age: 9

School: Saint Joseph’s Regional School

Grade: 3rd Teacher’s Name: Ms. McGuire

Student’s Present Level of Performance (motor skills):

In conclusion to Matthew’s assessment he successfully performed the manipulative skills underhand throw, catch, kick and one hand roll. When performing the overhand throw he started to twist with his body only after he had thrown the ball. Also his feet were facing his target instead of perpendicular to the target. Matt did a good job when practicing the volley but didn’t use his knees a lot when volleying the ball and caught the ball instead of using his finger pads to absorb the ball. The last manipulative skill he practiced was the strike with hand. When practicing he failed to hold the ball at waist level and also didn’t follow through after striking the ball.

When practicing soccer skills he successfully performed the kick, and the trap. When dribbling with his feet he continued to look down at the ball instead of keeping his head up and had some trouble keeping the ball close to him. He tended to kick the ball too far away from him and would have to run and chase it down.

When practicing basketball skills he had no problem with any of the skills, I was very impressed. He successfully performed dribbling with hand, chest pass, and bounce pass. One thing he could work on is dribbling around obstacles and also while on the move.
