JOB PROFILEJOB TITLE:Digital Marketing Manager REPORTS TO:Operations Manager and the Executive CommitteeJOB OVERVIEW:Promotion of our activities, resources and support work with emphasis on the Starfish Way, the Digital Learning Hub and volunteer recruitment and retention. Secure high quality and regular reporting of Duke of Edinburgh Award activities within Perthshire using all available media to promote public awareness and help secure partnerships, volunteers and funding. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:Marketing Evaluation and development of our on line presencePublic RelationsKEY ACTIVITIESPublicity/Marketing of our activities and resourcesWeekly development, maintenance and updating of our website to ensure it is perceived as being a “must go to” source of information as well as a place to showcase the excellent work of our leaders, volunteers and young participants. Monitor its performance and make improvements to its functionality and content to maximise its usefulness.Expand our social media presence, sourcing and sharing newsworthy information in partnership with our staff and units across Perth and Kinross.Promotion of our work within the Starfish Way.Promotion of our Distance Learning Hub via regular updates and ensuring it is easy to navigate and use.Devise and implement high profile ways to celebrate the achievements of Award participants and volunteers.Ensure that prior to press and media releases that approvals are gained from the Executive Committee/Chair as appropriate.Work closely with other staff and external advisors to explore, enhance and facilitate fundraising efforts such as donations and crowd funding through the website, social media channels and other digital and traditional marketing avenues.Strategic LeadershipDevelop and implement a high quality marketing strategy across a spectrum of disciplines including media and public relations, internal communication, brand identity, advertising, marketing, digital and social media and production of materials.Help to develop key fund raising messages in partnership with Association staff.Identify issues that could damage the Association’s reputation and recommend actions to mitigate this risk.Keep up to date with best practice within the charity sector and particularly changes to communications innovation, legislation and codes of practice.Analyse the use and impact of our website, particularly the DL Hub, and provide regular monitoring reports with recommendationsPrepare evidence based progress reports for the Executive Committee on a quarterly basis.Public RelationsDemonstrate the ability to interact and cooperate with all Association employees. Build trust, value others, communicate effectively, drive execution, collaborate with others, solve problems creatively and demonstrate high integrity at all times.Maintain professional internal and external relationships that meet the Association’s core values. Attend, participate and contribute to internal and external meetings, where needed, ensuring appropriate up to date information is communicated and acted upon.Act as an ambassador for the Association acting with integrity and sensitivity.
