Battle Cards Battle Cards is an application available on the Navigator Portal. It takes the Battle Cards that are created in PDF format and makes them available to the Johnson Controls sales organization and authorized Sales Agents. Salespeople will be able to view Battle Cards for all brands they are authorized to sell. The Battle Card Administrators will need to make sure that once a Battle Card is created, that it is loaded into the Navigator System.Login to SalesforceType in below URL to access the Salesforce website. your login credentials.Enter your Salesforce ID, which is your email address e.g., Keith.c.evans@.Enter your Salesforce password.Press Login.Update/Replace Existing DocumentOnce you have logged into Salesforce, type in the Offering Catalog Document (OCD) Number or the File Name in the search bar and select search. e.g. OCD91563 or YHAU-CL.CH vs 16LJ-A.Note: A full list of existing Battle Cards and their OCD numbers can be found in the link above.Click on the correct OC Document ID in the section called OC DocumentWith the correct document identified, select “Upload Offering Document” to start the process of updating / replacing the existing file.Note: Make sure you use the same file name that is in the “File Name” field of the document you are replacing.Select the upload type (Documents) and then click the “Choose File” button to select the document that you would like to replace Select the file that you would like to replace and hit the “Open” button.Note: In order to prevent duplicate documents, the file name should be in the following format and should include the region where the document should be applied. e.g. YZ vs WME-Asia Pacific.Finally select the “Upload” button to complete the action of replacing your document. You can now select the “Open File” button from the OC Document page, or go to the Card Application to see that the document has been replaced.Adding New Battle Card Document or ImageSelect the “Plus” Sign to access the All Tabs list.Scroll through the list of applications and select “OC Document”.Select “New OC Document”You will then need to enter data in the following fields: Document Name – Name of the document being uploadedStatus (Set to Published)Language (Set to English)Security Grouping?(If desired)Audience (Extranet, JCI Employees) based on requirementBrand (Select the Johnson Controls brand to be associated with each document) - REQUIREDDescription (Describes the File)Literature Type (Based on how you would like to classify the document) Note: If Literature Type Battle Card is selected, you will also have to select the Template Type Battle Card and populate the associated fields.Select save to store the Document Page before you start the upload process.Select the Upload Offering Document Button.Select the upload type (Documents) and then click the “Choose File” button to select the document that you would like to addSelect the file that you would like to add and hit the “Open” button.Finally select the “Upload” button to complete the action of adding your document. You can now select the “Open File” button from the OC Document page to verify that your file has been uploaded.Note: You will need the OC Document (OCD) Number of the file to connect it to the Battle Card StructureYou can also upload images using the same process above. There will be two variations. You will need to change the Literature type in 4(h) to ImageYou will need to select “Image” from the Select Upload Type field.Now that you have added a new document or image, proceed to on to either one of the next two steps.Connect New Document to Battle Card StructureConnect New Image to Battle Card StructureConnect New Document to Battle Card StructureTo add the document to a Content Navigator Application, select the “New Content Navigator Assignment” button.On adding a new assignment, the following fields need to be completed.OC Document - providedApplication – Search for “Battle Card”Content Navigator Group – The group where you would like the document would appear.Use the search and type in CNG to get a list of groups or use the .xlsx sheet below.Sequence – The order you would like for the document to appear.Select “Save” to complete the associationNote: The existing Groups, Sub-Groups and Sequences can be found at the Content Navigator Group – Battle Card.xlsx.Use this document as a reference for additional linkage.Once you save the document with the Content Navigator Group, users will be able to see it in the application.Connect New Image to Battle Card StructureSelect the “Plus” Sign to access the All Tabs list.Scroll through the list of applications and select “Applications”.Select “Go” in the View if you do not see the Battle Cards application.Then, select the Battle Cards application.For Content Navigator Groups that do not have an image, you can select the Content Navigator Group Name / CNG-xxxxx number that you would like to associate to a document.From the Content Navigator Group Detail page, select the “Edit” button.Scroll down to the OC Document Image field and type in the OCD number that was created when you added the new image above.Click “Save”Note: The image will now be associated with the Parent Group or Child group that you selected and will show up in the application.Navigate the Battle CardsYou can navigate the Battle Card platform using the left navigation menuWhen Building Automation is selected, the menu us expandedThe second level of navigation is more specific. Click on the category of the Battle Cards you would like to see. In this case, you can use the pictures to select “Thermostats, Sensors, Airflow Measurement”Find the Battle Card you would like and click the download button to open the fileThe file is now open and available for useSearch for a fileFrom the Battle Card Application, Type in the word GLAS to find any Battle Cards related to GLAS thermostatsAny Battle Card related to the Battle Card application will be made available for selection.Make a Battle Card a FavoriteAfter you log into Navigator, Select Applications / BrowseScroll through the Browse Applications until you find Battle Cards and select the star in the upper right corner of the application.The next time you select the Dashboard from the Applications menu, you will see the Battle Card shortcut on listed as a favorite applications. You can also access it at any time from the Favorites menu. ................
