1. OVERVIEW

When migrating an on-premises server to the cloud, the hassle of reinstalling

operating systems and applications is a major stumbling block for many companies

planning a cloud migration. These complex processes are one of the main factors that

prevent many companies from making the decision to move to a cloud environment.

Samsung Cloud Platform (hereafter SCP) VM Migration solves these inconveniences

for cloud migration. The "copying and pasting" type of migration technology supports

operation after migration to the cloud environment with the existing server's operating

environment and state.

Based on the example of converting an AWS VM into an SCP environment, this

document provides an overview of SCP VM Migration using an online replication

tool(ZConveter), the migration process, and the procedure for performing cloud

migration.
