Criteria:

To qualify for the San Antonio Express-News Scholarship in Communication, you must:

1. be a Communication major with an interest in pursuing a career in print journalism.

2. have at least 60 credit hours and be enrolled full-time (at least 12 hours per semester).

3. be able to demonstrate recognizable merit.

4. have a cumulative grade point average of 3.00.

5. be a resident of Bexar County, Texas or other counties termed “South Texas”.

Please attach a letter of application and a 500-word goal statement on how you will contribute to a profession in Communication and print journalism.
