If art is your thing, visit Marfa, Tx! -Marfa is located 58 miles North of Presidio and is home to Donald Judd's art collection and Prada Marfa off Highway US-90 near Valentine, Tx! Marfa also hosts a yearly Festival to see the Marfa Lights. -Presidio also hosts an Arts Festival in April to celebrate student artwork, photography and creativity!

If you're a fan of the Great Outdoors, Presidio is located 34 miles away from Big Bend State Park and 70 miles off Big Bend National Park! Big Bend Parks are full of diverse wildlife, vegetation and beautiful scenery!

-Fort Leaton State Historic Site is located 3.5 miles south of Presidio on FM 170. At Fort Leaton you are welcome to explore the Fort, take a tour by one of the Student Docents, view the museum and the display of Pancho Villa and the Mexican Revolution. -Santa Teresa Catholic Church is also a point of interest, as it is known to be the first place in Texas to celebrate Christmas.

On the opposite side of the border, to the west, is our sister-city Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico. Ojinaga is a friendly and history rich town where you'll find a bigger variety of restaurants, shopping, culture and more!

Presidio is known as the Hotspot of Texas, and we now host an aquatic center to cool down in the summers, along as plenty activities for students. Throughout the year, students engage in soccer and little league baseball at our city fields, or basketball at our campus courts. Students can also visit the Presidio Public Library or Activity Center to learn or have fun.

Presidio ISD is a District of Innovation offering: distance learning classes, dual credit courses and technical school classes. Our schools are also involved in educational groups like robotics and rocketry, STEM and solar car challenges.
