It is a multiple-choice, pencil-and-paper test administered by the College Board.The SAT measures Math and Evidence-based Reading and Writing. The test taker may optionally write an essay. It takes three hours and fifty minutes for the essay. Scores?on the SAT range from 200 to 800 point-scale. The highest possible score is 1600. WHAT ARE THE SUBJECT TESTSSAT Subject Tests are one-hour tests in English, history, mathematics, science, and languages. They give you an additional chance to showcase your strengths and interests. Many colleges use the SAT Subject Tests for admission, course placement, and to advise students about course selection. Some colleges specify the SAT Subject Tests they require for admission or placement; others allow applicants to choose which tests to take. Depending on your score and the college’s policies, your SAT Subject Test results may place you out of a beginner class or satisfy a basic requirement. HOW TO REGISTER FOR THE SAT/SUBJECT TESTSSign up for your free College Board account: your full, legal name and other identifying information. Make sure it’s the exact same name and information shown on your photo ID.Decide whether to sign up for the SAT with Essay.?See which colleges recommend or require it. a photo that meets very specific?photo requirements: out, and print your Admission Ticket.Include at least four universities where you would like to send your scores (this service is included in your registration fee)PRACTICE ONLINE TO BRING ON THE TEST DAY#1: Admission Ticket: You must print out your admission ticket and bring it to the testing center.?A paper copy of your ticket is 100% necessary for admission—you can't show it on your cell phone, tablet, etc. To print it out,?log into your College Board account?and click on "Print Admission Ticket."#2: Photo ID: Your photo ID should?resemble the picture you uploaded to the College Board website when you registered for the SAT.?#3: An Acceptable Calculator: You'll need to bring your own calculator for the Math Calculator section.?Acceptable calculators include graphing and scientific calculators.?A basic four-function calculator is also allowed but not recommended. #4: A drink and snacks for your breaks.?These will likely have to stay in your bag, in a locker, or up at the test administrator’s desk and will have to be consumed outside of the testing room.
