Application Criteria

AAUW follows the National Science Foundation's definition of basic research: "activity aimed at acquiring new knowledge or understanding without specific immediate commercial application or use." - Application Deadline: December of each year - Applicants must be full-time students at an accredited U.S. institution during the fellowship year, and should be pursuing a course of study in the United States over the full academic year.
