Definitions

County Lead Agency (CLA)

Four designated organizations in King, Pierce, Snohomish, and Spokane counties, under contract with the Washington State Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF), to ensure through subcontracts with ESIT Provider Agencies (EPAs) and Early Intervention Service Providers, that early intervention services are provided countywide.

ESIT Provider Agency (ESIT PA)

Organizations including but not limited to public, private, tribal, or non-profit entities, including school districts, under contract with DCYF or subcontract with a CLA to provide early intervention services in an assigned geographic and/or school district catchment area.

School District Catchment Area

Geographic school district boundaries as defined by the Office of Superintendent of Public I nstruction.
