Rodgers, JustinEnglish 1010 080Irene J Peterson12/4/2013The Second Amendment the Write to Bear Arms The Second Amendment of the United States Constitution the right to bear arms is one of the most controversial issues of America it goes both ways some people like the Amendment most fear the Amendment. The Second Amendment grants the people of the United States of America the right to bear arms and the right to keep weapons also stating not to ever be changed. The Right to Bear Arms has been a conflict of interest ever since the Second Amendment was introduced. Depending on how the people read it the people look at the Amendment in different points of views, which has caused issues with laws of the people for many years. The Government has passed laws trying to change the way the Amendment was made to work but still the Government has not been able to take guns away.Enforcing what the law and Government are trying to do has changed so much since the Second Amendment was made; times have changed and know only certain people are allowed to own guns. The reason the Second Amendment was made was for the American people to always be able to have weapons for protection and the right of being a American Citizen to use their guns as enforcement to protect their self’s.The Second Amendment does not clarify who the people are in any other way then stating an American Citizen. The Second Amendment states “a well fitted Militia being necessary to security of a free state, the right of the people to Bear Arms shall not be infringed”. This makes it more controversial because with different people viewing the Amendment it changes how certain laws and court issues are handled.Gun control advocates put forth since there is no longer a Militia guns should be taken from all American Citizens. The Government knows states that Militia is still active which is stated in all articles towards a Militia is the army. The conflicts between gun owners and people that don’t believe in owning guns is never going to change. The United States was founded by men who owned guns who died for the right to own guns, and with this being a fact the Government tries to change the Second Amendment in many different ways, such as laws, court issues, and different people being able to purchase a gun (Beard).“Anti gun control activists views and basis on gun control argue that any American has the right to own a firearm whether it be a militia or not”. The Second Amendment states that any citizen is allowed to bear arms own and carry a gun.” Thomas Jefferson stated the right to bear arms is for the people to protect there a self in tyranny and government an armed man is a citizen an unarmed man is a subject”. Thomas Jefferson was referring to the right to bear arms as a last resort for Government up rise.Self protection is the number one most reason people want to own a fire arm. Anti activists state they have the right to protect themselves and family members which is stating the Second Amendment.” A Gun in your hand is better than an officer on the phone”, it may sometimes be better to have a gun in your hand because you have nothing else to protect yourself. The Right to Bear Arms shall never not be infringed as stated well in the Constitution. Stating you have The Right To Bear Arms weather certain people like it or not.Gun control activist view guns as letting ordinary law obeying Citizens make it dangerous for other Citizens by owning guns. Which guns can’t shoot there self it takes a person to pull the trigger? They believe that guns kept in the home are safe especially for children. The other perspective of the issue is that most guns are kept under lock and key to where no one has access to the gun but the owner which in most cases is true (Farber).Gun control activist’s state that the number of school shootings and murders are caused by the Second Amendment which is not correct in most issues were someone has been shot. This is why the conflict between gun owners and gun control activists will never change. “Gun control is not about weapons it’s about control”. The Government is never going to fully be able to control the people unless they do take gun rights away, which is breaking the Constitution of what are founding fathers made America upon .They believe that taking guns away and abolishing the Second Amendment would make the United States a much safer place to live. Without guns the United States would not be a safe place to live at all, that’s how people protect their self’s if it comes down to using a gun. The Constitution explains that any American Citizen has The Right To Bear Arms for personal protection also which is stating as a American you have the right to have a gun on you were ever you go for self protection which is agreed upon by concealed weapon’s holders. The long term goals of people who are against guns it’s to completely take guns from every American Citizen, in that case causing half of the United States to fight about the issue of gun control. If you do not like the thought of being around guns then don’t be around guns. Guns are used for hunting animals for meat like they always have been used for in America, and if you don’t hunt or like guns around that’s your own problem (Kate’s).The people who own guns are successful with getting the Congress and the Government to pass laws letting people own fire arms, the N.W.C.U. uses guns for hunting stating that if you were born in America and cant own a weapon to protect your life what is the point of staying in America when its unsafe to live here without self protection. No matter how long it will take those who believe in are Constitution will fight for The Right to Bear Arms by all means above all laws? The people who are against Guns will always try getting laws passed to keep gun infringement in the laws power to wear certain Citizens are not allowed to be around a gun. Harsh gun control laws change how to law should be handled by are Government, changing how the people look towards are Government for help because they don’t seem to be following are Constitution. Despite the differences of gun activists, with none gun activists the conflict of the Second Amendment is always going to be an issue. There are people who use guns for certain reasons such as hunting or target practice and police officers for protection and protecting people. The laws of gun control are always going to change bounce up and down staying in the people’s hands who believe in what the United States of America was founded on.There of course are people who should not be allowed to have guns because it’s stated that there not correctly locked away. The issue is resolved by law enforcement at this time in America, times have changed allot since the Constitution was made but the constitution is what American people fallow to this day. The controversy of people who abuse Gun Rights will always be around, but in reality there is not a law that can change the way are Constitution was formed and the reason it was made.By stating issues with gun control has been an argument for years know and The Right to Bear Arms is never going to change because the people who fight for America will never allow that to happen. Being informed of different issues regarding guns does not make it the Second Amendments fault for someone abusing the amendment, which by law citizens are allowed to Bear Arms. Everyone in the United States does look at gun control different each person has their own perspective on what should be the correct solution of the Second Amendment issues (Keenan).
