We are interested in learning more about your decisionsaround taking a daily pill that will reduce your risk of HIV (PrEP) as part of this demonstration project. For individuals who chose to participate in the demonstration project:Tell me about why you decided to take PrEPas part of this project.Probe: Risk perceptions, other HIV prevention options, other people who may have influenced decision (partner, outreach worker, other sex worker, etc.)Tell me about why you chose the delivery method you did (direct delivery/weekly clinic pick-up). Probe: What do you see as the benefits of the delivery method you chose? What do you see as the negative aspects of the delivery method you chose? What are the positive/negative aspects of the other method?Probe: What sorts of things matter when thinking about how to get PrEP (e.g., convenience, stigma, privacy, etc.)? What other delivery methods would you like to see offered? What are your concerns about taking PrEPas part of this project? Probe: Cost, effectiveness, clinic visits, side effects, access to the medication, storing medication, stigma, etc.For individuals who declined to participate in the demonstration project:Tell me about why you decided not to take PrEP as part of this project.Probe: Risk perceptions, other HIV prevention options, other people who may have influenced decision (partner, outreach worker, other sex worker, etc.), cost, effectiveness, clinic visits, side effects, access to the medication, storing medication, stigma, etc.Would you ever consider taking PrEP in the future? Why/why not? Probe: What would have to be different (e.g., relationship status, HIV risk, daily pill vs. injection, etc.)? What would you want to know that you don’t know now? For all participants: What else would you like to say about your decision to take PrEP as part of this project? Is there anything I should have asked but didn’t?
