SENDING AND RECEIVING FAXES USING GMAIL
Two methods for Sending Faxes - Gmail and Web Service Creating a Fax Using Gmail: To fax from your Gmail account:
1- Click compose new message 2- In the to: field enter the faxnumber@fax. (case sensitive, No CAPS) 3- Enter the Subject of the fax. 4- Click on the clipboard to attach the fax document 5- Hit send 6- You should get a confirmation email message if the fax went through
Creating and Sending a Fax from using Internet Explorer: To create and send a fax, type the following URL into your Internet Explorer web browser: (Other web browsers may not function properly) Perform the following steps: 1. Click Compose.
2. In the Compose tab, enter the Name, Company and Fax Number of a recipient. For example: (514) 222-3333 or 15142223333
3. Enter the Subject of the fax.
4. Enter the actual text of the message in the Comment section or attach a document by clicking the browse button and finding the document you wish to attach.
5. All of your information will automatically be populated under sender & company information.
6. Click the Submit button.
Inbound Faxes will Automatically Show Up in Your Gmail Inbox. You can receive faxes only if a fax number has been assigned to your domain account by IT. If you need to receive faxes via email, please contact the helpdesk.
