Service User Involvement Worker

Job Description

Job purpose

To support staff and service users across Together services and departments to understand and implement best practice in service user involvement and leadership. These duties are to be carried out in the context of Together’s value system and Code of Conduct.

Accountable to Support Manager, Service User Involvement Directorate

Key responsibilities

1. Provide specialist information, guidance and support about service user involvement and leadership to staff and service users across a range of services and departments

2. Work creatively with staff and service users to increase the range of service user involvement opportunities available to service users locally, regionally and nationally

3. Review, develop and maintain internal resources to support the development of good practice in service user involvement and leadership

4. Work with members of the Service User Involvement Directorate to reach more service users, learn from their experiences and enhance equality, diversity and inclusion within the work of the team

5. Attend relevant meetings to promote Together’s approach to service user involvement and leadership

6. Keep accurate and up to date records

• Information relating to service users must be treated in the strictest confidence and discussed only with appropriate members of staff

• Information relating to staff must be treated in the strictest confidence and discussed only with other senior staff or line manager.
