Abstract Our lives have become increasingly dependent on social media. Therefore, finding ways to use them to enhance academic performance (generally) The value of teaching English (in especially) cannot be overstated. As a result, the goal of this study is to see if social media can be utilized to boost students' enthusiasm to master English Vocabulary. The sample group used in this study are students from Gymnasium `'Shaban Hashani'' in Ferizaj. Two hundred respondents participated in the study. Sample selection was done by the non-probabilistic method. Respectively a ready sample was taken. The results obtained have provided sufficient evidence to support the main hypothesis that there is a very strong significant correlation between social media use and student motivation and social media use and English Language acquisition. In addition, research has found that students who use social media more often showed better performance on the English test. Finally, no gender differences were found in the degree of motivation to learn English but girls performed better on the English test compared to boys.
