PURPOSE OF POSITION

The Director of Human Resources provides strategic leadership for Compensation and Talent Acquisition. In addition, the director will collaborate with other leaders on process improvement projects, regulatory compliance and employee relations. The Director utilizes knowledge of HR best practices to assure alignment with AHF strategy and will deliver comprehensive programs, initiatives, and solutions to cultivate increased organizational performance.

RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS

|Responsible for the design, implementation, and administration of a cost-effective system-wide, employee compensation program. This includes |

|executive, salaried management, non -management and hourly structures. |

|Serves as the AHF subject matter expert in employee compensation and ensures that compensation programs and practices follow organizational |

|policies as well as state and federal statutes and legislation. |

|Facilitates the executive compensation process and works directly with the AHF CEO and Compensation Committee of the Board to ensure that the|

|executive compensation values are being met. |

|Responsible for leading the Talent Acquisition team in developing a pipeline for talent that supports current and future staffing needs of |

|Aultman Health Foundation. |

|Oversees the design and implementation of talent acquisition strategies and initiatives that deliver the right internal and external talent |

|to the organization. |

|Partners with AHF leadership to broaden understanding of current talent and staffing needs as well as future initiatives that could impact |

|talent acquisition strategies. |

|Able to develop strong community relationships for enhancing workplace diversity. Must be able to develop strategies and action plans to |

|attract and hire diverse candidates and make the recruiting process more inclusive. |

|Collaborate on HR process improvement programs designed to review pay practice policies and procedures to ensure that they are cost efficient|

|and comply with laws and regulations. |

|Able to identify, prioritize and correct pay practice issues and create communication plans regarding necessary changes. |

|Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations; recommends course of |

|action and ensures consistency and fairness in all resolutions. Acts as a resource to management on issues including disciplinary actions, |

|policy interpretation and performance and behavioral expectations. |

|Establishes collaborative working relationships with department leaders throughout the organization; develops an understanding of the |

|business needs of the organization related to HR and works to fulfill those needs. |

|Bachelor’s degree required, and master’s degree preferred |

|A minimum of five years Human Resources Management experience required |

|Distinct understanding of human resource laws, processes, policies, and procedures |

|Strong team management and development skills |

|Ability to articulate a vision and lead key initiatives and change |

|Excellent interpersonal and communication skills |

|Ability to provide the highest level of customer service |

|Ability to multi-task and prioritize |

|Ability to think strategically and critically and able to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions |

|High level of maturity to manage confidential information |

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• 8:00am – 5:00pm M-F or hours as required by the job. Occasional weekends and off -shifts

• Subject to frequent interruptions and changes in priority of duties throughout the day.
