OBJECTIVE: Seeking to become a professor in management
PROJECTS: Extension of Open Research Compiler (ORC) to perform cache aware scheduling with another student. The ORC is a leading open source Itanium Processor Family (IA-64) compiler infrastructure. Implemented cache aware code scheduling techniques taking advantage of memory access of the code to improve its performance. 2003.
Extension of BSD sockets to do more advanced networking in C with another student. Implemented a client-server architecture involving many clients and tested it to run appropriately; which in turn extended it to run as an online forum involving multiple interactions from different clients. 2002.
Used MPI to implement more advanced functionalities for parallel computing. Explored different types of parallel algorithms involved in scheduling jobs involving sorting, ranking, and listing of data sets in a parallel computing environment successfully. 2002.
Used Lisp to implement a competitive agent to play Cognac with another user. Adapted a game playing algorithm using AStar search and other search algorithms as the search depth was increased successfully. 2002.
Implemented C-minus-minus compiler in C with another student. Built the compiler from scratch starting with parsing all the way to code scheduling. It is tested with the test programs given by the professor successfully.2001.
Extended the functionality of Nachos Operating System in C++ with two other students. A significant amount of time was spent digesting the code already given in Nachos to understand the fundamentals involved in operating systems. We extended Nachos further to do synchronization, I/O functionalities, and system calls successfully. 2000.
Design and Implementation of Information System for Gregory Terrace's College for Boys. InfoModeller was used during the data modeling phase. It involves application programming and SQL coding modules using data warehousing in Oracle 3.0. This project was very successful and is currently being used in the school. 1997.
Design and Implementation of Wine Tasting System for Hollywood Restaurant. This project involved SDLC and SQL coding modules using data mining in Oracle 7.0. The restaurant currently runs on this Unix system. 1997.
Making of Client-Server Architecture using Remote Procedure Call. This involved network design using communication paradigms and implementation in C language. This is the principle of a simple ATM network. 1997.
Design and implementation of web page that does electronic commerce using HTML. This involved using design principles and human interaction factors. Client can make orders of goods through the web page and the vendor can answer back to him or her. 1997.
