The temporary Assistant Librarian will assist in packing up the library materials in the Library of the South African Human Rights Commission (Commission). Key Responsibilities List major activities and contribution to the organisation for which this post is held accountable Key Performance Areas (KPA) Activities (Linked to each of the KPAs) No. KPA Description No. Activity Description 1 Clean, stock take and packup library materials 1.1 Under the supervision of the Head of Library the assistant should dust all materials thoroughly.1.2Stock take all materials1.3Pack all materials in clearly marked storage with marking as agreed to with the Head of Library.1.4 Mark all the packing clearly and a system as will be approved by the Head of the Library 2 Unpack library materials at new location2.1Unpack materials after their transportation to their new location3 Shelving, stock taking materials in new location 3.1Shelve all materials in order in which they had been shelved in their previous location, taking care to ensure that classification system that existed before at previous location is strictly adhered to 3.2Stock take materials at their new location E. Advisory Responsibility Is it required from the post holder to assist in packing library materials in a manner that will ensure that the library materials follow the classification systems that is already being used by the Commission and that materials are not misplaced in any way.
